Location: Solar System Name: Ancepan Star Class F Description: The Ancepan system is an area not often tread by the denizens of the Fringe. Frequent ion storms, plentiful space debris, and anomalous gravity wells permeate the system, making navigating the area difficult. Despite this, there is some use and visitation to the system. Adventurous academics occasionally visit to study the system, or go on dangerous missions explore further. It is also occasionally used by outlaws or runaways foolhardy enough to brave the dangers in search of a place to lose pursuers or lay low. Planetary Bodies: A gas giant orbited by many moons, several dwarf planets, and Ancepan Prime, the only habitable body within the system. Reachability: Open. Easy to reach, difficult to traverse. Planet Name: Ancepan Prime Environment: Ancepan Prime is as dangerous as the system it resides within. It's about a third larger then earth, with 20 hour rotations. A single super-continent rises from an ocean that is dotted with far smaller islands. The super-continent holds a variety of environments, but the majority of it is of humid climate. This supercontinent contains a large amount of megafauna, with very few incidents of mammalian-like creatures. Amphibious and reptilian creatures dominant the ecosystems. Resources: Most common earth metals can be found here, but no stellar metals occur naturally. The true draw is the creatures that reside on the planet. Exotic, large, and dangerous, some can fetch a hefty price. Several reptilian creatures upon the planet have been used in the creation of space dinosaurs due to their similarities. Population Size: Less then 600 Settlements: The few Fringe denizens that survive here are usually stranded. Outlaws or treasure hunters are the most common that have small, transient attempts at survival. The occasional dedicated explorer or researcher expedition also carve out an existence upon the planet until demise or rare successful departure. Backstory Permissions: Semi-Closed Location Name: The Mountain Location on Planet: This mountain is located near the planets equator, on an archipelago that juts out of the planets super-continent. Local Environment: This mountain pokes out of a jungle crawling with the mega fauna common on this planet. It is honeycombed and tunneled with cave systems. Resources: This mountain offers nothing special in its natural resources, rather it contains the only teleporter pad on the planet. It is rudimentary, and can only connect with the pad of a ship within the system. Settlements: A single individual resides within the cave systems of the mountain, having turned it into a bulwark for their safety in the sea of challenges that the planet presents.
