Name: Saurian Stellaris, though each breed has a different name.

Space Dinosaurs usually have traits their original, earth-Dinosaur forms do not have, as pictured.

Description: Dinosaurs have been a subject of interest for the scientific community ever since their bones were dug out from the ground. As technology progressed, humanity got closer and closer to reviving these creatures through various means. As humanity made contact with the various races, reviving these massive creatures became more feasible, due to there existing a wide range of fauna in the galaxy that resembled the large lizards. Eventually, Dinosaurs were brought back, either through making them from scratch in vats, or filling in the gaps with DNA of other alien life. Not only restricted to dinosaurs, other forms of prehistoric life resembling reptiles were brought back too.

Space Dinosaurs usually have scales or feathers, resembling massive lizards. They tend to be large and heavy, much more so than a humanoid. Extremely durable too, due to their size. Due to being artificial life, for the most parts, there exist many augmented types of Space Dinosaurs. Some have traits the animal they were based off of do not have, such as the ability to breathe fire or spit acid. Others are biomechanical, with weapons attached to them. Some can fly, possessing wings, and others stalk the seas.

Behavior: Space Dinosaur behaviour depends on the type of dinosaur. There are vicious predators, peaceful herbivores, scavengers, plant eaters that won't hesitate to rip apart aggressors. Any behaviour fitting of a large lizard is possible for them to display.

    Tamability:
Space Dinosaur taming depends again, on the breed and the purpose they were made for. The ones constructed to fill nature reserves are usually untameable, while those meant to be used as living weapons have means to control them. Most Space dinosaurs can be tamed by raising them from birth and hatching their eggs. As a general rule of thumb, the larger a Space Dino is, the more difficult it is to tame them. After all, a Tyrannosaurus would stop seeing his owner as a provider and protector once it becomes a hundred times their size. Typically, implants or an ORED procedure are used to control them.

Where is it found?: Jungles, labs, nature reserves, desert planets, basically, they can live in a wide variety of environments. They are usually only found on planets meant to house populations of them though. Wild Space Dinosaurs do not exist. While it is entirely possible for similar large lizards to exist on other planets, the ones that occur naturally are not considered Space Dinosaurs.

A mutated, horribly-made Space Dinosaur. It will likely die soon from massive organ failure, but not before causing widespread destruction.

Rarity: Rare, in that they are not found naturally. They are extremely common of course, on the planets specifically made to house them. Individual Space Dinos can be found in the ownership of factions or rich individuals. Their genomes are also available on the market.

Diet/Method of gaining nutrients and energy: Again, it differs based on Species. Some graze from the treetops, while others dig for roots. Others tear apart prey for meat, or snatch up eggs and eat the young of other Dinos.

Products?: Eggs, meat, bones, teeth, skin, fat, a wide range of products can be made from harvesting their parts. Floran tribes that live on Space Dinosaur infested worlds usually make armour and weapons out of their bodies.

Reproduction: Sexual reproduction. Space Dinosaurs mate and lay eggs.

Size: Typically massive. Smaller ones exist, with some of the tinier ones being around the size of chickens. The largest ones can rival skyscrapers with their necks.

    Weight: Usually a fuck-ton.

    Lifespan:
Herbivores tend to live longer, around 60-70 years. Carnivores live to be 30 or so on average, with most large carnivores reaching their full size at about 20 years of age.

    Abilities:
    Size
    Strength
    Durability

    Flaws:

Most Space Dinosaurs, thought it was thought to be a myth, have a hard time making out objects that are staying perfectly still. They can still hear and smell it, but sight becomes a big issue. This is more common among carnivores.

As with most large creatures, inertia. Though it's not a guarantee that you could outrun one, it would be easier to outmanoeuvre them.

All the Abilities and Flaws differ depending on the size of the dinosaur. Smaller ones are not as tough, but are faster. The abilities and flaws can be reversed completely, with a smaller dinosaur being fast and having good eyesight, while being weaker.
