Spoiler Planet Name: Sanctus Prime, or just "Sanctus" Environment: Sanctus is habitable to the core races, with four main continents and several large clusters of islands. Due to the planet's distance from the large and hot A-type star, seasons are so long and gradual that they are difficult to notice. Most of the planet's biodiversity is found in the ocean, with only a few native species being found above the water– amphibians, insects and plant-life, for the most part. Plant-life photosynthesizes normally and is slightly cyan, to block blue light and prevent sun damage. Sanctus features several species of Sanctusian Hivetrees and Sanctusian Wildtrees. Resources: Precious and transition metals are available in most points in the planet’s crust, with high concentrations of gold in the soil of some areas. Some of the flora and fauna have unique resources, such as the low concentrations of a caffeine-like drug in native tree bark. Meat and wood are abundant. The oceans are filled with easily caught fish. Population Size: Around twenty-six people. Settlements: There are only a few buildings on the planet’s surface. One town in northern Domum, and two buildings on Angius, one of which is mostly abandoned. There is no "official" government due to the tiny population, but there has been some headbutting between the more aggressive colonists over who's allowed to control the planet. Technology level is standard for the Fringe. Backstory Permissions: Semi-closed (Sanctus was recently colonized and has no NPCs, so it can't be the backstory for any regular character. Local Environment: Chilly and snowy, due to the high latitude. Weather is generally tame, however, with storms of any kind being rare. Snow occasionally melts on hotter days. Plant-life is fully adapted to the cold temperature, so grass is present. Several invasive species are also present in the nearby woods, such as earth bears, nova-wolves and a single semi-sapient shifter. Resources: A slightly higher concentration of gold in the soil. Wildtrees are present here, with caches of fat. Transition metals are present beneath the surface, though none of it is being mined. Settlements: A single town, Calibri, contains most of Sanctus’ global population. Electricity and running water is supplied in most buildings by generators and a local sewage system, and most food and other supplies are imported via teleporter. There is no unified culture due to its very low population size, and no "official" government, though several different colonists claim varying levels of control over the area.
