Star type: K
The Byrock is a mostly dry planet, with only one rather small ocean. The majority of the water on the planet is in vast underground reservoirs.
Giant’s Land: Areas where massive trees called “Titan’s Legs” grow, whose roots are capable of reaching the reservoirs below. These trees are very spread out from each other, and offer little shade to the ground under them. Between these trees are healthy-looking grass-like plants, which feed off the roots of the Titan’s Legs like parasites. It rains very sparsely here, the air is dry, and is normally in the mid 20s to low 30s in Centigrade.
Grazer’s Land: Vast, somewhat dry, grasslands. The grass here grows because of small ponds on the surface, and water reservoirs that’re closer to ground level. More regular-sized trees sparsely populate these lands, and offer shade to the larger amount of wildlife that live here. The air can get somewhat humid here and clouds are more common in the Grazer’s Land, the temperature is normally a more reasonable low to mid 20s in Centigrade.
The Abyss: A single area of massive, treacherous, canyons where ancient rivers used to flow. In a previous millenia this area may have been a beautiful green landscape with many rivers and lakes but has since been turned into scarred rock. The only remnants of this once bountiful land is the singular Grand River that runs through the canyons; this is where the only life in The Abyss lives. It’s as dry as Giant’s Land here, except around the Grand River where it can get quite humid. It never rains outside of the River, and temperatures can range from the low 30s at the top of the canyons to the mid 10s in the shade of the bottom of them.
The Divides: Areas between Giant’s Lands or Grazer’s Lands, and the Dunes. Often times small deserts where the rains from the Grazer’s Lands sometimes reach, or where the Titan’s Legs’ roots cannot provide adequate water for the parasitic grass.
The Dunes: Sand-filled wastelands home to strange, slow, bugs that can photosynthesize, as well as the Worms. These two creatures that’re the feature of these lands try to feed off each other in a brutal relationship.
Resources: Transition & Precious Metals, Farm Produce, Glitch Artifacts.
Population Size: 10,000-25,000
Various races have settled on Byrock, with a majority being retired Novakids and Humans. Some Penguins also make their base here, and the retired Novas are known for housing runaway Deserter Legionnaires, Apex refugees, and other people who need housing that don’t have a significant bounty.

Being near the outer edge of the goldilocks zone, The Byice is quite cold. The highest temperatures that it reaches are near the equator during the summer, at about -15 °C (5 °F) and it regularly hits -60 °C past 45° from the equator in the winter. Windspeeds normally reach around 42 kph (~21 mph) during winter and summer months, however they increase around the spring and fall to 70-76 kph (~43-47 mph). During the spring and fall seasons The Byice also experiences “snowstorms” which are more similar to dust storms then normal snowstorms, where extremely high speed winds of 90+ kph (~56+ mph) where visibility is low and travel and outdoor work is not advised.
There are a handful of settlements around The Byice, all of them being mining facilities for various companies.
Semi-open, there are no permanent residents on The Byice.
While the air on the Byice is breathable, it is still thin and acclimatization to breathe without altitude sickness.
