Both of his parents, two of his grandparents, and even one of his great grandparents, are or were all doctors. Though you might assume this would put a lot of pressure on the boy. His parents were actually both very loving and supportive, they told him from the start that he didn’t have to follow this “happenstance tradition” if he didn’t want to, but Shiokarai has always admired his family for their history. To him they were essentially “heroes,” “protectors of the galaxy,” and “beacons of hope!” Which may sound cheesy to some, however, it was always a motivating factor for him. He spent years studying, training, preparing himself for the field of medicine. All while balancing a thrill-seeking social life. Him and his friends would take occasional vacations together, they’d go deep sea diving, rock climbing, surfing, or just get themselves lost on a camping trip in the middle of nowhere.
