Name: - Sand Whale - Cetacea arenam

Description: - Large monumental beasts that roam the sandy deserts of the universe. They have 3 large fins on each side of their body and one large fin tail at the end of themselves that they use to travel through the sand and sometimes to propel themselves out of the sand to surface as shown in the below spoiler image. Their skin has an immensely dense and hard rock like quality to it, being able to withstand heavy blows such as mortars and explosives. Ones that are seen above ground and resting on the surface can easily be mistaken for huge rock formations if they do not move. Females are also larger than the males and both sexes have 2 blow holes on the tops of their heads for breathing air.

Behavior: - Common social creatures, the sand whales travel in packs and even with other family members that are related to themselves, but in their old age they travel alone. They have a special "call" that sand whales emit through the sand via an electro-magnetic energy signal much like the sand worms. This "call" allows whales to communicate with each other in possibly a language to them that we cannot possibly understand. They often surface and use their energy signals to look for large herds of prey to consume and they are natural predators of Sand Fish. Another interesting point it how sand whales and sand worms fight over territory when both are in the same region.

    Tamability: - Untamable.

Where is it found?: - Anywhere with copious amounts of sand.

Rarity: Not too common, but if you see one you can very well assume others are nearby.

Diet/Method of gaining nutrients and energy: - Omnivore but mainly carnivore. These creatures have a large filter type of teeth rather than your usual chompers. The whales have a sort of vacuum like ability of sucking up many things in the area with their mouths, including sand, when they find living creatures to dine on. When they close their mouths the filters act to dispense the sand out but keep the living organisms inside and the blow hole is used in case not all sand is dispensed out or if they need to breath.

Products?: - They have a large portion of blubber that can be then turned into blubber nuggets, this is a common delicacy in some parts.

Reproduction: - Sexual, males usually have intercourse with more than one female in a mating period.

Size: - Huge. Half a mile to a mile long. (0.8 Kilometers to 1.6 Kilometers). (Females and the elderly usually being in the mile long/1.6 kilometer long range).

Weight: - Several, several tons at ~ 10,000-15,000

    Lifespan: - 500-600 years.

    Abilities: -

    • Mouth filters for sand and food.

    • Very very large.

    • Thick and durable rock like skin that is like plating and can stand up against a mortar round.

    • Senses via electro-magnetic energy signals.

    • High suction vacuum like mouths.

    Flaws: -

    • They still require air to be able to survive, this means they have to surface at some points and cannot stay underground forever (but they can stay underground for possible weeks) and this makes their blow holes a very dangerous weak point as if it is blocked for long periods, the whale will die for it being a breathing apparatus and a sand clearing apparatus.

    • Much slower compared to creatures such as the sand worm, they also rest in areas frequently.
    Other: - Awooga.
