Name of Aug/Tech: Atlas Disk Piercers (AKA "Nemean Lion's Claws" )

Description: A compact disk either made of light metal, thin plated, such as (prefered) Aegsalt or sometimes other simple material such as type of Linear tech plastic. Usually having inside the disk magnetic jacket covering the HEAT round. The Disk's edges, having a type of electric magnetic field that cause it to stick onto metals or anything magnetic (mostly metal), Faraday Caged entirely inside with simple material, and a built in pull motor timer.

History of Aug/Tech: More and more heavy armor has seem to start to pose a problem with conventional weapons. The federation has been constantly attack with foes of droids and heavy armor. Atlas lacks the type of weapons to penetrate dense metals, composite armors, and Plated droids. The High Atlas, Endfield, has turn to his engineers to fix this issue and ordered a weapon that targets thick armor. It is simple enough to use, and must be lightweight for the light infantry. Atlas Engineers created a handful of testing weapons to comply with the order. The Atlas "Nemean Lion's Claws" was one of many anti heavy armor the engineers have came up with. This Disk Piercer was made to take out Armored units in close to mid range, to add more of a specific purpose type or weapon.

    How does it work?:

    (Piercing Types and Method Attachments)

[Main Type] A thin plated disk Aegsalt that holds a thick "dual pike" in mid of the disk, Carrying an HEAT explosive type but densely engineered to pack a stronger punch and jacketed with magnetic material. The Disk's edges has a type of electric magnetic field that causes the the HEAT coated explosive to spin rapidly like a drill. The disk also has a manual timer trigger, or pull, (best way I could describe is a tightly pulled military grade Pull Back Motor) that also help the spin when released. The pull motor is there as well if the power of Magnetic spin fails to spin, the pull motor takes up the job manually once triggered. When the disk is attached to a surface, it switches a clever pendulum triggered switching from the point of surface apply as it is attached, cause it to directly point and focus the explosive towards that surface as much as possible. The person triggering the disk not only begins the mechanism, but has control of a manual control timer once triggered. When the Disk is set off, the explosive HEAT explosive is focusing all it engery to a single point on the mid surface it is applied to, the spin helping the heat explosive drill through and delivering a deadly explosive into the drilled hole.

[Second Type] There are alternatives disk as well, instead of HEAT, it is given an extreme Plasma fuel gas that is directed like a Spike towards the landed surface of the disk. Cutting through the plated surface into whatever it is surfaced on. Either building up heat, or burning clean through depending on the metal. It then delivers the explosive into the drilled hole.

[Third Type]There are other disks that uses an unorthodox method of using drills durasteel/ferozium compound with a nanocrystal diamond tip to drill into the armor, though it's 1-5 seconds slower, depending on the steel and thickness, once fully punched through at its 5 inch max, cracks a protective casing to deliver a corrosive acid to dig away deeper into the armor or melt away any device or personnel from the inside. Though a bit messy, it still an option for more manual low tech device by using simple industrial tools. This also delivers an explosive into the drill/corrosive made hole.

[Fourth Type] Another is a non lethal disk filled with 3 lasers, flares, and releases a stream of hot gases to ruin or blind sensors such as huds, seekers, sonars, radars, and targeting systems. For a good 30 seconds before it ceases.

[Fifth Type] And finally the last method, the entire disk from the inside is replaced with a Emping Emitting disk for a continuous 4 seconds to damage signals and disrupt electronics within a 15 meters, 5 meters being the effective and ideal radius.

(Method to attach the Atlas Disk Pericer)

There are a couple ways to attach the disk, and all methods are easily switched, combined, and concealed.

[Main Method] Magnetic attachment; As the Fara Cage prevents emp, it also prevents the electronics from working properly. When it is manually triggered by permanently ripping the Fara Cage from the inside-out, to allow the electricity to flow and work properly. Using an electromagnetic pull, the disk becomes a strong magnet. Used to stick easily to attached itself to a metal or onto other magnetic properties that pull the device. However, it could also be timed triggered to have the mechanism to trigger in mid air using the timer but the faracage will still be damaged in the process.

[Second Method] Removing the plate surface of the disk exposing the in between the plate and faracage, is a nasty sticky "bacteria glue" type of substance in between a 4 small tubes, not yet stucked to the plate, (which is used for holding the triggering device in place depending on the surface attached on), and could be manually placed onto a surface to whatever it touches, though still can be tossed and latched very easily, it is advise as second resort of use.

[Third Method] If the third method is followed, removing the plates are small flipped hooks that keeps the plate secured, preventing the plate from falling off. A simple twist folds the hooks flat on the disk inside surface. These 4inch hooks could be hold up and locked in place to A: place the plate back on, or B: pierce the hooks onto softer less dense material such as clothes or... skin tissue.

[Final Method] The last method is use all the types combine, but it is not advise as the device is more fragile and more easily triggered without the plate. It could also have the danger of latching itself onto a freindly.

Intended use: Used for Atlas personnel, lacking Anti Armor capabilities.

    Strengths:

-Effected against heavy armor, metallic metals, vehicles, and tech components.

-Could be easily tossed a few meters as the weight is 7lbs
    .

-the strong Magnetic pull needed to be properly attached may disrupt technical components or computer based hardware. Especially wired based components and wired metals.

-It is adaptable in being placed onto most surfaces. Be used as AT landmines.

-can latch onto weapons destroying and disabling them.

-It's relatively safe to carry, the latch mechanism prevents it from triggering.

-harder to stick and aim by using only the [Second and Third Method], but can still be thrown to stick.

-Could also be wired or wireless mined donated for a more controlled use

    Weaknesses:

-If thrown, it could easily miss the target (depending on the method used) if not in range.

-AT rounds are all focused based, does not explode chaotically, it is more direct and focused coned type of explosion.

-Light armor; If someone is wearing little to no metals or wearing non magnetic devices, the magnetic pull would be useless and will either attach to something else metallic, or flop and trigger wherever it lands.

-Can be emped if the Fara cage is damaged.

-[Fourth Method] Easily taken off, while attached to the surface of the material it's attached on. Such as a linen shirt.

-[Third Method] if thrown, has a harder chance to sticking.

-[All typed] Without the protective plate, it could render it disable if bluntly damaged.

How do you believe this will assist in benefiting roleplay?: Gives the lightly armored personnel a fighting chance against armor using a more "thinking out of the box", method on the server

Attainability: Closed, Semi-Closed, bought or sold from Atlas, willing setup trade or given weapons with other factions. All Exalted factions to Atlas can automatically use these as gifted weapons.

    HEAT Explosive?

    Needs to be re-apped.
