John was a compassionate man who brought up Orion with values of hard labor and polite attitude. Due to his father being financially poor from trying to run the outdated station, Orion didn't get out to space hubs much and was homeschooled by John. The sudden death of his father when Orion was 18 forced him to take over the station. Fortunately, due to his training for one day taking the business over, he was able to run it better than his father did. This brought him out of debt and into a good financial standing.
