How does it work: Basically a gaseous form of Vantablack, an extremely dense and heavy inert gas with a quirky molecular structure that causes it to absorb nearly all light that hits it (99.964%). This causes it to be nearly impossible to effectively see through without forcing it to disperse. Flavor text: While it can be chemically synthesized, it was first discovered in the Nyx Caves of the Undercrypt, the cause of it's namesake, a massive system of interconnected caves that can only be reached through some portals placed in the Erebus level. For an unknown reason, these caves seem to be a natural source of Nyx Gas. This reason is unknown mostly because the amount of successful expeditions into the caves is few and far between due to the gas making it immensely difficult to explore and the dangerous creatures which inhabit the inky depths.
