General Information Marisol VanStein ("Mari" to her friends), is a 22 year old human girl. She trained at a galactic militia base to become a pilot for two years. Since then, she began working as a private cargo pilot and transfers packages between the senders and their recipients. Her business motto is: "As long as you've got the cash, I don't ask any questions." Her usual customers tend to be Apex, or seedy people with just as equally seedy packages, but they all pay well, which is good enough for her. Physical Appearance Marisol is about 5 feet and 2 inches tall. She has a bit of an athletic build after her time training at the base, though her time outside has seen her loose some of her muscles. She has dark skin, brown eyes, and purple hair. She tends to wear black, or darker colors. PersonalityPersonality Type: ESTP Marisol was always something of a wild child. When she was young, she tended to get caught in the most childish of pranks. She lives by her own rules and "go with the flow." She tends to speak out against those who try and tell her what to do. She also speaks out in the defense of others too, even if she doesn't know them. Her love of freedom is what had fueled her drive to become a pilot. Despite her fashion choice, she is actually a pretty friendly person. She always loves to meet new people, especially strange and exotic strangers. She's a great friend and will always be loyal to those who get close to her until the very end. Political Ideology Marisol's big plan in life involves getting rich, buying a nice house somewhere, and kicking back and relaxing. She is an adventurer at heart, and wants to explore as many cool places in the galaxy that she can. She also wants to become well known, and find lots of new friends. Marisol believes heavily in standing up for herself and other when it comes to what she believes is right. She mostly wants to protect everyone's freedoms, and stand up to people who push others around. She has very little patience for people like that. Backstory Early Life Marisol was born into the boonies of the galaxy. In fact, she was born and raised on a farm with her mom, dad, and older identical twin sister June. Since turning six years old, Marisol was put to work on her family's farm. She received little in the way of education, but gained an appreciation for respectable hard work and discipline from working with the animals and tending to the crops. Her family's farm supplied the local system with food. Teenage Years Marisol continued to work on the farm through most of her teen years. At about age 12, Marisol began to receive a slightly more proper education than what she was already receiving in the form of a friend tutoring her. Throughout these years, Marisol and her twin sister June became closer as sisters. June developed a love for guns, and taught herself how to handle one by studying masters through online videos. After practicing plenty with her first gun, June began to show promise. One night, after walking home from a night out, the twins were jumped and held at knife point. June, in an act of self defense, used her gun and shot a blast from it at the mugger. By pure luck, the blast from the gun had hit the mugger straight in the eye, and the twins were able to get away safely. Since that point, June and Marisol had begun to see this gun as a lucky charm of sorts. June had named it: "'Ol Reliable." After turning 16, June left home to train with a master marksman who happened to witness what had happened. He specifically asked that June be patient until she was 16, as she was too young at the time. With her sister leaving, Marisol was heartbroken and lonely at home. The farm just didn't feel the same without her. Eventually, after a year of being gone from home, Marisol began receiving communications from June, and the two talked almost every night from then on. Early Adulthood One day, in her mid 20's, Marisol stopped receiving communications from June. That is, until she had received a rather urgent and distressing message from June, saying that one of her master's enemies had framed her for a murder that she had never committed. She was being arrested, and would stand trial in a few days time. In the end, June was wrongfully convicted and sentenced to execution. Marisol was devastated by this had visited her sister in prison, to see her one final time. There, June had her lawyer hand over 'Ol Reliable to Marisol as something to remember her by. June's execution has since been carried out, and Marisol called it as nothing short of murder on the part of the person that framed June. Since then, Marisol keeps 'Ol Reliable close to her. She can't seem to decide weather or not 'Ol Reliable was a lucky charm, or an unlucky curse. In an attempt to get her mind off of her sister, Marisol enlisted into a local militia to become a pilot. She had decided that she needed to get away from everything and everyone, as far as she could possibly go, and this was the best way to do so for her. There, she had trained hard and earned her star-ship pilot's license. She has since become a private cargo pilot, satisfying her need to see new places. However, the nagging and aching feeling at the back of her head kept reminding her again and again that June's killer is still out in the galaxy, and Marisol vows to one day find him and serve him the harshest amount of justice possible.
