Name: Jihadi Tumbleweed, Killer Tumbleweed Description: One of the deadliest Maladhian plants, Jihadi Tumbleweeds (as dubbed by ICIF soldiers) look precisely like Tumbleweeds found on Earth today, with a few bizarre differences. The first difference, and not even the most terrifying, is its ability to roll itself in any direction using its semimobile branches that it pushes itself with. Its second difference, is the inclusion of several metal-hard seeds around its branch and its core which seems to be a thin wood sphere, jagged and warped. The final difference, and perhaps the most terrifying, is the core of the Tumbleweed which contains both its simplistic neurological organ - and a few pounds of ammonium nitrate explosive. When the tumbleweed reaches its unfortunate target, it will detonate and explode similarly to a grenade, its metallic hard seeds exploding outwards as sharp fragments which can easily kill its victims, the seeds embedding themselves in their bodies and using it as nutrients to grow into more Jihadi Tumbleweeds. Surprisingly, not Australia, unless Space Australia counts. Behavior: Amazingly, the Tumbleweed on the very edges of its branches, has simple tiny photoreceptive tissues that can see colorless vision and take in its target. Once the target is spotted, it begins to roll towards its victim, moving at a vast speed of twice the human jogging speed - you'd have to be a very good sprinter to evade one of these long enough for it to stop chasing. If the Tumbleweed touches its target, it suddenly detonates and explodes its fragmentacious seeds into their helpless victim. Tamability: None ever tame them, mostly because they are: a. Explosive or B., fucking plants However some lucky people may gather the seeds and grow their own squads of explosive person-seeking Tumbleweeds or something. Where is it found?: Deserts Rarity: Most of the time, thank Allah, uncommon or rare - if the desert is explored a lot and has a higher causality rate, there will be more. Diet/Method of gaining nutrients and energy: Photosynthesis Products?: If one is lucky enough to find a dead one (and it isnt waiting to suddenly roll at them when they come close), they can safely harvest the seeds and ammonium nitrate. Reproduction: The seed fragmentations explode into their victims, killing them and using their corpses to grow into bush-like plants that will then break off and begin to roll. Size: Tumbleweed Weight: 5 lb Lifespan: 10 years, they will most likely suicide before then. Abilities: It can see. It can roll. It can trick you. It can play dead. It can kill. Explodes when it reaches its victim. Flaws: Can be outrun if you're fast enough. Doesn't do much against inorganics - might damage them, but cannot grow off of them. Can be shot right in the core - sufficient damage can cause premature detonation. Sometimes it might get too scared and prematurely detonate.
