Recently in past events, there has been a certain weapon or tool that has come into popularity, especially by use of the members of the Islamic Caliphate of the Fringe, or the ICIF. The nature of these beings is anomalous and strange, resting in an invisible state but being able to turn corporeal and physically interact with the world, whether it be opening a door, or sending a fist into the face of a helpless victim. In order to protect yourself against the coming evils, it is important to know, and thus I will share my own research on the matter of Qarins.

While in an inactive state, it is invisible; however, the bearer of the Qarin can use the Qarin as a second means of sensing, being capable of seeing through its own eyes. While invisible, the Qarin cannot be physically harmed, but can still be harmed by high-energy attacks such as via plasma or lasers. When active, they can be physically harmed as well. A Qarin is faster than an average human at running speed.

A Qarin can indeed be harmed, but the damage primarily works much similar to other phase matter organisms, simple dissipating its being until it is no more. In addition, any damage a Qarin takes will be passed onto the user as pain, depending on the severity of the 'wound'.

Finally, a Qarin may only stay corporeal for eight seconds, and typically must rest for twenty seconds until returning to corporeal form again. Use this to your advantage if engaging a Qarin bearer, as they will not be able to use their Qarin physically in that rest time. In addition, a Qarin is controlled completely by its bearer, requiring concentration; the larger the user concentrates, the more the Qarin is capable of in terms of strength or agility, though this can leave the bearer open to attack.

Stay safe and stay vigilant, for the Fringe is becoming more dangerous than it ever has been.

Huh. Interesting. And where can you get one of these "Qarin", exactly?
