Name: Hearth Potions Description: Hearth Potions are a name given to a runny, liquid substance of orange and yellow hue, swirling in an almost sun-set like color contained within a container. The use of the Hearth Potion is that when drunk, in the course of a few minutes the user's body temperature will safely rise a massive 15 degrees which allows the user to survive easier in colder environments that would otherwise be inhospitable to standard life. Hearth Potions are brewed using a special herb called 'Fieria', a bright orange and dimly glowing moss that can sometimes be found growing in the cracks of obsidian in high-temperature regions capable of supporting basic pioneer life; this moss, when dried and ground up into a powder and mixed with a special sugar known as Starsugar, can be mixed with water very slowly to form the runny solution that is the Hearth Potion. Abilities: Safely raises body temperature by 15 degrees, allowing survival in colder environments. Lasts for 12 hours. Limitations: Only works for organics. Requires increased calorie intake. Heatstroke and other heat-based illnesses are easier to get. How does it work: The Fieria moss contains a specialized tissue structure containing special enzymes that spread throughout the body via bloodways, consuming greater amounts of calories to allow body cells to produce more heat throughout the whole body; when dried, the primary components of it are isolated and when mixed with the popular alchemic sugar known as Starsugar, is safer to drink, has an increased length, and other effects that attribute to its effectiveness as a potion. Flavor text: Hearth Potions were brewed long ago by Vampyr alchemists to sell to other organics that required adequate protection to enter the Undercrypt region known as Boreas, hailed for its frigid temperatures that when unprepared for, can freeze the unprotected to death.
