Name: Gravitic Reference-Frame Shifting (GRF Shifting)

Description: GRF Shifting is a form of gravitic manipulation different from the application of gravitic forces; rather than applying a direct force, GRF involves the rotation of a reference frame vector using a gravitic field; the technology to do so is the same as force application, and typically involves changing the user's perspective. The primary usage is allowing for a room to have multiple dimensions by allowing people to walk on the ceiling (or in their perspective, the floor), or even the walls. Clever architects make use of this in highly abstract works of architecture that have found fame in the culture of species such as the Xadari or the Apex.

    Abilities:
    • Changes the gravitational reference frame of someone in a field, effectively able to reverse the acceleration of gravity.
    Limitations:
    • Same limitations as gravitic tech in general.
    • Large power draw and field projection makes it only viable for use in things such as buildings.
How does it work: By using gravitic channels within platings layered under floors, a field can be generated that effectively rearranges the gravitational force within the local field. Objects will instead fall toward the platings, rather than towards the ground; in a sense, the platings are the new ground while an object is within the field. The most common usage of such a technology would be to allow people within a building to walk on ceilings by having a GRF field project by the ceiling that reorients people onto it, an interesting concept that many have explored for the sake of compact space.

Flavor text: The concept of differing spatial relativities has been explored deeply, typically in concepts of abstract thinking. A famous example is the work "Relativity" by Dutch artist M.C. Escher, in which the subjects of the work are subjected to differing gravitational reference fields. With new gravitic technology, this abstract thought is now concrete reality. Initial thought into the concept of reference frames and relativity was devised by the famous Human scientist, Albert Einstein. The concept now has made debut in many unique architectural styles by the Xadari species and some various others, despite the abstract and confusing nature due to the differing reference frames.

@PrivateNomad It seems fine to me as well. I will be seconding this application and approving it.
