    Name: Gorgos

Description: The Gorgos is a terrifying beast, known for its temper, voracious appetite and the highly acidic saliva that constantly drips down from its jowls. This monster stands tall on two powerful legs, with a pair of mostly vestigial front claws. It's body shape bears a striking resemblance to the ancient theropods that once ruled the Earth. The Gorgos' back is lined with a bumpy scute running from behind its eyes to the tip of its tail, which extremely thick and can be used as a weapon. Its mouth is lined with razor sharp teeth, rendering even the toughest of flesh completely helpless. To top this off, a Gorgos' saliva is incredibly acidic, burning through scales and flesh of particularly resilient prey. From head to toe, Gorgoses are decorated with rough black scales which clatter like armor when it runs.

Shape wise, it might look a little something like this.

Behavior: Very aggressive. It considers everything that isn't another Gorgos to be food. When it's not eating, Gorgoses like to run rampant, streaking through fields and leaving nothing but destruction in their wake.

Where is it found?: They can live in almost any climate, which makes them all the more dangerous. When a Gorgos moves in, the ecosystem goes into complete disarray with little hope of recovery.

Rarity: At most, Gorgoses will live in packs of two.

Diet/Method of gaining nutrients and energy: Gorgoses eat anything and everything, though they prefer meat.

Products?: The acid it produces could be useful in the right situation.

Reproduction: Despite the Gorgos' natural aggression, they get along alright with other Gorgoses. These beasts mate for life, laying one egg every other year or so.

Size: It can grow up to 20 feet tall, and can be anywhere between 34 and 40 feet long.

    Weight: ~9 ton.

    Lifespan: 23 years at most.

    Abilities:

    • The average Gorgos sports two rows of sharp teeth. When paired with its powerful jaws, it can rip flesh from bone as if it were nothing. Each tooth is covered with a special coating, protecting them from general wear and the acidity of its saliva.

    • Speaking of the saliva, it burns through flesh and most metals indiscriminately.

    • Its tail is incredibly strong, and is often used as a bludgeon.

    • The three claws on each of its feet are just as sharp as its teeth and make for a good weapon against creatures significantly smaller than it.
    Flaws:

    • Not the brightest creature. It's rather one-track minded.

    • Its scales are more for insulation than protection. It doesn't take much to get through to the softer gray flesh underneath.

    • Very dependant on its tail for balance.
