Gill was raised less like her son, more of an adored housepet who she spoiled rotten. He grew up lavished in adoration and attention, but lived an incredibly cloistered life. He had limited access to the outside world and technology, deemed too soft for the world by Sonia who only allowed him to interact with others during parties and business exchanges as a sort of accessory. Gilligan grew up believing he didn't deserve what he was given, considering himself unworthy of all of the praise and attention he was given all his life, thus beginning his gradual descent into a never-ending anxiety and distress, which became more and more evident as he grew older. Sonia responded to the boys mental anguish by spoiling him more- causing him to grow a dependency on eating as a means of comfort. Sonia had enrolled Gilligan into lessons when he was six years of age, to which he eagerly lapped up knowledge like a duck to water. He grew fascinated with the stars and space, dreaming that one day he could join them and explore the cosmos. Gill caught on soon enough that he was only raised the way he was to be a suitable and docile pet for Sonia. He grew cold and distant over time, even growing disdainful to the Sonias friends and his own tutor. It was only after one night that she had threatened to lop off his tongue to keep him from mouthing off that he ran away- Stealing whatever he could of Sonias and making his way off into the night with one of her recreational ships.
