Flying Carpets can appear as a variety of different designs with a variety of sizes and even shapes or decorations. That's pretty much it.

    Abilities:
    • Can hover at any altitude.
    • Automatically balances the carpet at the user's feet, allowing one to sit and stand with ease. Dance on it if you want.
    • Some carpets can automatically be set to align facing the Kaaba, making it a good but expensive prayer rug.
    • Can even double as a normal rug.
    • Can drive up to 200 mph.
    • Batteries last 12 hours before needing a recharge.

    Conditional abilities (optional): N/A

    Limitations:
    • Offers no real protection; bullets can easily penetrate the fabric.
    • Vulnerable to EMP, in which case the hover function of the fabric fails to work and blink constantly, hovering slowly to the ground. Navigation systems are disabled, causing the rug to not be able to turn and probably crash into something.
    • Most rugs (of the size in the picture) can only hold at most 500 pounds, though larger can hold more. You wouldn't use a rug to transport cargo anyways, would you?
    • If you set it to align facing the Kaaba and you're in another planet than Maladh, the rug will pretty much face the sky (or ground) wherever New Makkah is and tip you over, or fail to work.
    • Takes time to accelerate.

    Conditional limitations (optional)
    : N/A

    How does it work:
Essentially, the "Magic" Carpet utilizes a specially designed fabric that contains a superconductive weave of graphene with a ferozium lattice, allowing it to extrude a hovering effect throughout the entire fabric, using the full surface area of the rug to hover and fly. In addition, some spots within the stitched fabric are thin batteries that power the hover weave. In the center of the rug is a small computer chip and sensor that senses the user's position to balance it (based on pressure on the fabric, much like a segway), as well as acting as a navigation system that works with multiple inputs. Most rugs will move in the direction in which it is tilted when stood on, though some people may have a neural interface. Some rugs may also simply have an autopilot.

    Flavor text:
The Magic Carpet was originally invented by a Muslim inventor in the city of New Makkah, studying the properties of hover technology and having a hard-on for old Arabic stories. When the new Caliph Syed Al-Quiche saw the carpet, he came himself and sought out the help of technology corporation AkCorp, which has a factory stationed in Purgatory City, to mass produce the magic carpets for the pleasure of he and his citizens. Now, magic carpets can be bought from many places and even online from the AkCorp store.

Have fun mounting a machine gun on the rug. Though you could totally do a drive by with it.
