    Name: Fire Elementals, Ignis incarnate

    Description:

Fire Elementals are large beings made of fire, tall humanoids moving in a swirling plume of fire with large arms armored with flat stones of obsidian and granite. Their brand acts as their 'faceplate', menacing heavy metal with glowing eyes of bright gold. Fire Elementals are inorganic energy beings very similar to Nova entities, having a magnetic shell that assists in shaping the elemental and holding in the bursting flames of its form, while also holding in its stone and brand, the center of its power. Under the area of the faceplate brand is a region of a molten mix of magma and liquid metals, heated with the energies of the brand and a source of one of the Fire Elemental's powers. Its plume of swirling flames below it is a jet, causing it to hover shortly above the ground as its movement; and above the seething magmas of their homes. Fire Elementals, unlike Novakids, are chaotic beings; their shells are weaker and are more volatile, which causes them to be extremely hot to the touch as they are cloaked in flames and heat.

They are extremely dangerous, and are among the many things that make venturing in Tartarus of the Undercrypt an extremely dangerous task. Using the seething molten materials under their brand, they can jet it out of their palms throughout their bodies to launch a white-hot fireball, a ball of boiling metal wreathed in trailing flames.

They were originally created by a High Warlock of the Crimson Conclave, long before the Great Schism and not too long after the first arrival of the First Gravelord in the Undercrypt; powerful results of synth technologies, the brand masks of Fire Elementals were forged in the hottest of fires and empowered with the strongest energies. From there, they spread out to the farthest reaches of Tartarus, and even out of the Undercrypt through the Hell Portal by the Conclave, where they reproduced and spread more.

Behavior: Fire Elementals are solitary entities, wandering aimlessly throughout their home, across beds of obsidian and igneous rock and across lakes of molten, boiling magma, searching for whatever can feed their flames; whether it be flesh or fuel. They are extremely aggressive, indiscriminate beings that will attack anything in its sight that is smaller than them. Sometimes, when present, they may use weapons such as flame weapons or other flame-wreathed arms.

Tamability: The unfathomable, seething natural rage of Fire Elementals make taming them a complete and utter impossibility; one would rather destroy itself in fire than be subjugated. The sole exception for such is Fire Elementals created synthetically, by 'resurrecting' a Fire Elemental anew with a new mind by jolting the brand mask with a huge amount of energy while in the presence of a bath of magma and burning fuel, or by obtaining a Magma Egg in which a new Fire Elemental grows from.

Where is it found?: The primary dwelling of Fire Elementals is the Tartarus layer of the Undercrypt, dubbed quite fittingly as 'hell', however some may find the rare Fire Elemental present in other magma-rich environments, most often where dormant Hell Portals may be found.

    Rarity: Fairly uncommon

Diet/Method of gaining nutrients and energy: Fire Elementals, similar to novakids, feed off of energy-rich materials such as fuels or flammable materials; including people, adventurers consumed by the flames of the elementals that tried to delve into Tartarus to find its riches.

Products?: When the Fire Elemental dies, all that is left in the scorched ashes is the mask that was once its brand, left with little running energy after its death; the eyeholes still eerily glow orange and can be seen through, making it a rare trophy capable of being worn as a mask, a heavy protective mask made of brand metal.

Reproduction: Near the end of its lifespan, the Fire Elemental will begin to condense the seething materials under its brand into a tightly packed core of burning energies that rests within the center of the Fire Elemental; at the end of its lifespan, the Fire Elemental will explode and the 'Magma Egg' will absorb some of that released energy, sitting on the pile of ashes as a rocky core of glossy obsidian and lines of glowing heat, expanding outwards in size until it begins to burn with fire. A few months afterwards, the egg shatters and the brand mask's eyes glow for the first time in a small form of dim flames and heat.

Size: A fully grown Fire Elemental of 100 years of age is capable of rising to heights of at most 10', with a large body and arms.

Weight: Being made of mostly fire, Fire Elementals at full growth will weigh only 150 pounds despite their size; most of this mass is attributed to its stone armor and its brand.

Lifespan: Being more volatile than Novakids, Fire Elementals will last 800 years at maximum; afterwards, they will simply explode, leaving their brand and Magma Egg behind.

    Abilities:
Fire Elementals can lob white-hot balls of molten metal and fire by drawing from the material underneath their brand, forming the balls into their hand and launching them.

Many Fire Elementals in Tartarus possess a storage of controllable liquid nanomachines which they can use to control nearby magma and molten metals, such as that they form to create fireballs.

When they die, they explode into a bright array of hot fire and shrapnel from their stone armor; the explosion is powerful enough to incinerate anything in a 3 meter radius and scorch things to up to 6 meters. The infrared rays emitted are powerful enough to briefly ignite skin, and give first degree burns at its maximum radius of 12 meters.

They are cloaked in flames and hotness, making getting near one a difficult task.

    Flaws:
Weak membranes and volatile fuel make them relatively weak physically; attacks can blow off limbs in a flurry of flames, which can lead to stress on the brand which will cause them to die.

Weak to cold attacks; cryoweapons of liquid helium can easily weaken them and damage them.

Weak to large amounts of water; huge amounts may possible blow off limbs and such.
