    Name: FernivoreEquus venandi

Description: The fernivore is a large mammalian herbivorous predator (I know that sounds weird, bear with me here). They resemble a big cat, but they have an elongated jaw much like a crocodile except their teeth are shaped in a way perfect for piercing and ripping open plants and leaves. They also have hoofed toes that resemble paws and they totally lack claws in stead their hoofed toes end in sharpened points. Their coloration is typically in shades of green. They demonstrate sexual dimorphism the males have a green leaf shaped mane the females lack this trait.

Behavior: -They are typically dosile and can be observed roaming around jungles, plains, and forests in packs, grazing. Unless they are attacked or meet a floran or any organism that is made of plants in a similar manner then they become vicious. They are skilled in chasing and ambush. When they meet a plant organism (as I will refer to them as henceforth) they will chase it down and proceed to rip them apart sharing the kill with their pack. It has been observed (through illegal experimentation) that if they have a choice between a plant or a floran they always choose the floran. Theories suggest that the florans or other plant organisms have a mineral or nutrient that regular plants lack, but testing for this is on going.

Tamability: This creature is tamable, but only if they are born in captivity. Even then they are highly unpredictable.

Where is it found?: They are found in tropical and temperate environments with lots of plants

Rarity:  It is pretty rare as florans hunt them out of fear.

Diet/Method of gaining nutrients and energy: It is an herbivore with predatory instincts. They hunt in packs and eat and hunt in a manor similar to lions.

Products?: It produces a beautiful green hide used more for display rather than warmth.

Reproduction: They produce via sexual reproduction. There is one dominant male in the pack and he gets to mate with all the females. Any non dominant males trying to mate are often killed or punished in some way.

Size: They are as big as a lion.

Weight: Males are typically 420 lbs (190.509kg) females are 280 lbs (127.006kg).

    Lifespan:20 to 30 years.

Abilities: They have an incredible sense of smell, very high stamina, and strength.

Flaws: They die if they are deprived of the fleshy leaves of plant organisms

Other: They are more closely related to horses than big cats.
