    Description:
The Fennix is at first glance, a peaceful-looking fox with red-yellow fur with orange eyes, which slightly glow when its paying attention to something. It's tail and facial fur is yellow compared to the rest of it's body, which is red.

    Behavior:
There are two types of Fennix behaviors: Wild, and Modernized.

    Wild Fennix:
    • Wild Fennix usually live out in the wilderness, where civilization is sparse.
    • These Fennix will hunt for basically anything they can get a hold of, as their pack needs sustenance to survive. This also includes superior life forms, as any poor soul wandering through their territory is sure to get attacked.
    • Usually travel in packs, and when they are low on food they will hunt together.
    Modernized Fennix:
    • Modernized Fennix tend to live alone, or with another of it's kind, usually one of the opposite gender.
    • These Fennix are more docile, and will most of the time hunt around the city for other stray animals or scraps of food, learning to be cautious around superior life-forms.
    • If they are living with one or more companions, the alpha of the group will go out looking for food on its own. Due to the nature of their environment, a pack of Fennix running around a city attracts too much attention and can cause the superior races living there to take notice.

    Tamability:
Wild Fennix are a lot harder to tame than that of Modernized Fennix, but can be still be tamed.
    • Modernized Fennix are easily domesticated, as they already live in a civilian environment and are used to the hustle and bustle of civilization. They may be stubborn when following commands at first, but can eventually become a household pet.
    • Wild Fennix are much harder to tame, as they travel in packs and are trained with the knowledge that all animals, superior race or not, are a potential meal. If someone is able to capture one away from its pack, it can eventually be tamed but takes much longer, and may attempt to escape in order to find its pack if given the chance early on.

    Where is it found?:
All fennix, Wild or Modernized, can be found in most Civ-space and Fringe planets that have a hospitable environment, similar to forests or jungles.

    • Wild Fennix live out deep in forested regions, away from civilization.
    • Modernized Fennix live in or close to civilization in towns and cities, usually in alleyways or near gardens where there can be plant life or other stray animals.

    Rarity:
Somewhat rare. You won't see a Modernized Fennix on every street, or a Wild Fennix on every farm or acre of forest.

Diet/Method of gaining nutrients and energy:
Carnivore. Both Wild and Modernized Fennix eat the same way, by tearing into the meat and if need be (specifically in cold weather) using it's ability to heat up the carcass or piece of meat in order to consume it easier.

    Products?:
Some poachers make use of Fennix fur, but none else other than that.

    Reproduction:

    • Sexual reproduction: Like how most animals breed sexually, (in this case, how red foxes do). They use vocalizations to express interest, and scent marking to communicate.

    Size:
About the size of a normal fox.

    Weight:
    Generally, 5 – 30 lbs.

    Lifespan:
    3 - 6 in the wild, 4 - 9 if domesticated at birth.

    Abilities:
Fennix are able to use fire to their advantage, if only in small amounts. The two ways they can utilize this are using it to heat up meals, or spew out fire in small amounts (akin to a small burst or a fireball). However, spewing fire uses a lot of energy, so they need to sleep frequently.

They can achieve this by producing and storing a volatile high-energy fuel, and ignite it via chemically-produced heat. By squirting the fuel out fast enough from a duct venting into the snout as the Fennix exhales, it can spew fire.

    Flaws:
Fennix go through an entire process to spewing fire, by interrupting that in any way (via kicking, grabbing their tail, intimidating or spooking them, et cetera), it knocks the wind out of them and can stop them from releasing the flame efficiently.
