    Name:
D.E.M.O.D, Directed Electromagnetic Offense Device, a very niche weapon, heavy stunner

    Description:
The DEMOD is an incredibly bulky, LMG sized gun with a large powercell at the side, and a carry handle. A thick, barrel-like emitter is at the forefront.

    Abilities:
The DEMOD fires out an electromagnetic pulse in a 30ft long beam originating from the barrel of the gun.

The DEMOD can increase the length of the beam by 20ft with additional turns of charging. Up to a maximum of 90ft long. To reach this size it takes a full four CRP turns of charging the DEMOD.

    Conditional Abilities:
The DEMOD can be modified to use other, similar technologies in place of a standard EMP. One example is firing out a blast similar to a PIG.

The DEMOD is filled with an incredible amount of anti-tampering and anti-reverse engineering stopgaps.

The EMP beam the DEMOD fires can overpenetrate, but cannot go through Cerulium or other EMP-blocking materials.

    Limitations:
The DEMOD has a very large, bulky battery. Due to the size, it takes three full CRP turns to reload after it's fired.

The DEMOD can only be fired once before it needs to be reloaded, no matter the amount of time it's been charged or the amount of power expended. This is a safety measure, and is unable to be disabled without making the weapon inoperable. No OSHA violations here!

The EMP from the DEMOD can only disable electronics for two CRP turns. Any other similar EMP-like modifications (the PIG), will also only last for two turns.

    Conditional Limitations:
If the battery of the DEMOD is shot while it's charging, it will cause it to detonate like an HE grenade. annihilating the carrier's lower arms, hands, and part of their torso.

DEMODs are very heavy, requiring a user to carrier to with both hands or to mount it on a tri-pod. The exact weight is around 20kg.

If the DEMOD has been charged for a total of four CRP turns, having reached its maximum distance. It MUST be fired that turn, or it will disable itself as a safety precaution and must be charged from scratch.

    How does it work:
DEMODs operate under a simple, standard system. Albeit one that hasn't been put into this form before. An array of electronics and generators are built into the main structure of the gun, all leading to a frontal emitter where the pulse is projected outwards from. This is all powered by a large dense-electron battery due to the amount of energy required for the process. Additionally through strategic placements of cerulium plates, the internals are protected enough to where the weapon can be used multiple times unlike a typical electro-magnetic grenade.

    Flavor text:
Designed by Liyara of Fireir of The Inquiry for the Atlas Empire to counteract mechanical opponents, the DEMOD is the result of several weeks of actually having the resources needed to develop this type of weapon. Although niche, and in many cases less effective than a standard EMP grenade. The DEMOD will have its uses, this, Liyara is certain of.

    Attainability:
    Semi-Closed
Similar weapons exist in Civspace, but the Fringe hasn't been able to produce one that's safe for mass production up until this Atlas model. Small numbers may end up in the Olympian black market, and other guns intending to mimic it may exist with varied and sometimes hazardous results.
