Description: A small, rounded canister with a strip of metal around the center and a pin connecting either ends of the strip to form a solid, firm circle. The strip of metal is magnetized, but loses that charge when the pin is pulled, being dislodged and allowing the contents within to spill free. The gas is a pale white color, dotted with blue, energetic sparks that come-and-go.

There's a [HANDLE WITH CARE] sticker printed over a majority of its rounded exterior, a notice from its maker to those who might want to screw around with the powers of the universe. The sticker can be peeled off, but beneath that is another sticker that is smaller, but identical to the topmost. There is no third sticker, but by then hopefully the point has been made.

Abilities: Once the gas is released, it acts as a "cushion" or a method to disperse plasma-based artillery upon impact.

Laser weaponry - which are not plasma in of themselves - can find it harder to shoot things in the mist due to photons having a harder time squeezing through the electrons.

The canister can be used to potentially beat someone to death, with enough time and effort, but the contents are far more important. While it cant do anything without releasing the gas inside, plasma may naturally radiate towards the canister as it is drawn towards the magnetic coil keeping the electrons from leaking out. Since they're so tightly packed, it could help redirect a plasma shot into it, if only a single one before the metal canister is blown apart alongside the hands of whoever was holding it.

Conditional Abilities (Optional): The gas without coming into contact with any plasma is at a temperature low enough to cause third-to-fourth degree frostburn if left standing in it for longer than a few seconds with exposed skin. This applies to everyone, including the person who's chucking said canisters around.

It can be a nifty way to cool your drinks, since it is theoretically an infinitely cold canister that will never grow warm unless released. It is not recommended that one uses the canister to cool a beer, however; that'd be a rude thing to do, what with all the time and effort spent on the canister itself.

Limitations: It cannot cushion too many plasma shots, nor any ones that are too large or powerful. The gas itself can be propelled into an excited state and instead can become dangerous or even lethal if enough energy is pushed into the electron-rich cloud, even going so far as to achieve a plasmatic state of its own if one was being too careless. The gas is dangerous when not affected by plasma as well, and needs to be handled with care, but the canister is only fairly cold and doesn't cause too much damage to the hand, but can still irritate the skin.

The contents of the canister are, by nature, in a stable, low-energy rate, but if the canister was to get caught in an explosion it could quickly lead to large-scale, violent fires if left unattended to.

Conditional Limitations (Optional): It will not work in a vacuum, so there needs to be gravity. Otherwise the gas will not retain any of the plasma and the electrons will disperse into the void without any control over them. Air is needed to help keep the gas afloat and to let it puff up, but so long as there is gravity, there isn't a matter of "too much", only "too little".

How does it work:  Due to being in a low energy state, as well as having an abundance of free electrons, a process known as Plasma recombination takes place, a process which is defined by plasma extending out to spread out over all the free electrons it can get to, as well as dispersing energy with each electron it managed to obtain by forming new gaseous atoms and relinquishing the excess energy left over. The low-energy state of the mist renders it a near bose-einstein condensate, (a gas which is at a critically, near absolute zero temperature) but due to the restrictions of the canister and the chemical makeup, it cannot fully achieve the bose-einstein condensate. With the gas being near it's ground state, the excited state of the atoms that are being created by the plasma taking in electrons are attracted towards the low-energy gas by the law of entropy (that which dictates all matter in the universe wishes to be in a perfect, equilibrium state) and the conservation of energy which allows for all the excess energy to expand throughout the gas cloud to form a mixed, warm temperature instead of excited or grounded.

Most basic plasma weaponry - guns and assault rifles - can empty a clip into the gas itself and not get through, however the frigid temperature of the gas will have since become excited and far too hot to rest in without wounds. A single shot from a plasma cannon can generally tear through the gas with most of its energy lost in the process, as there is far too much energy to spread out in a short enough time before the beam pierces entirely through. Any physical weaponry - bullets, bats, grenades, etc - are completely unaffected.

The gas itself will last for an hour total, in any state, before dispersing into the environment. Stacking multiple canisters does very little to help cushion more blows, but strategic use of space can help make a large area become covered in the mist itself.

Flavor text: One day, an Apex asked if she could rewind a plasma back into a gas. Without anyone to answer her, drifting alone, out in space, she took apart a dozen broken generators, nearly lost two fingers, and came out with a canister which could do just that. Science in the making.
