General Information Aster Elias Patrikson, a 5-year-old Meerkat who was subject to O.R.E.D at 3 years of age, and has since been enjoying intelligence with his owner Elias. He was birthed the 16th of June 3281 in a pet store, and 3 years later on the 6th of October became an O.R.E.D instance. Currently, Aster is sitting on his inherited spaceship searching for a place to live a "great life", such were the wishes of his now-dead owner, Elias. Since he has never had any real social interactions with another being than Elias and the doctor that gave him intelligence, and Aster being scared of everything in existence, he is hesitant to make new friends. Thus he feels lonely. Traits of Voice Aster has installed vocal cords, so has no accent, his only programmed language is Galactic Common, as Elias felt no need to purchase more. Aster often speaks low but rapidly and with a bit of stammering, because Elias' wife prefered it that way. Physical Appearance As any average Meerkat, Aster is 16.5 inches long in the body, plus an additional 9.8 inches long tail and weighs 2.8 lbs. He has black eyes, light brown fur, and all other regular Meerkat features. His posture is constantly hesitant and on guard, such as Meerkats often are. His clothing consists of a tiny black butlers suit, small glasses and the cutest red necktie you'll ever feed your eyes on. Personality Aster likes sand, probably because of his animal instincts as a dessert creature, his favourite colour is yellow or a light brown, because they remind him of sand. He has an easier time trusting Apex than other creatures, because all the doctors in the lab were he was given intelligence were of that species (and they give great hugs), he loves to be hugged but will only allow people he trusts greatly to touch him. He also loves his little red ball dearly. Aster hates the cold, and snow is worst of all. The brightness of it hurts his eyes, which have adapted over centuries for desserts. Aster also dislikes violence, especially towards non-intelligent creatures, because he has a vague memory of some sort where he gets abused by a child in the pet store where he was birthed. Asters only education is that which was programmed into him by the O.R.E.D chip, as well as what Elias and his wife taught him during the time they spent together. Aster is afraid of just about anything, especially big scary things. His only real goal is to fulfil Elias' dying wish, which was for Aster to live a "great life", but first he needs to find out what that means. He doesn't understand the concept of religion but knows people take it seriously so he tries his best to dodge the subject. He's generally more intelligent than most creatures and people, although he is greatly underestimated because of his social inabilities (shy, stammering, scared of everything) and him being a Meerkat. Health Aster has a minor case of hypochondriasis, meaning he's scared of almost everything around him. This makes it difficult to trust people, and to make social interactions. Most likely, this illness is because of his animal instincts. He is also allergic to carrots and beans. As a Meerkat, Aster can sleep just about anywhere and is also quite energetic, he likes insects for a good meal but can settle with smaller animals, most plants or even fungi if push comes to shove. He has above average memory and will remember a face. History He was born the 16th of June 3281 in a pet store and adopted by Elias and his wife only a few weeks old, and they decided to name him after Elias' wives favourite flower. After being raised by the couple for 3 years, a horrible accident occurred where Elias' now late wife died in a heart attack. In her will, she had written to Elias that he should get an O.R.E.D transformation for Aster, as to not stay so lonely until he was rejoined with his dearest in the next life. This information was told to Aster not long after he had woken since he cannot remember any events previous to the surgery, all he has from this time is a strong ethereal connection to Elias as well as his animal instincts. Now, however, Elias has passed away to finally rejoin his wife, and Aster was left to wander the vast universe alone. He was left with Elias' savings, as well as a spaceship so he could travel to a distant world and live happily. Relationships Aster considers Elias and his wife to be like his parents, he has biological siblings but they were sold to different families so he'll probably never meet them. His only friends are Elias, Elias' other pet named Tom (after Elias' best friend, who died a few years prior) and an Apex doctor who performed Asters O.R.E.D surgery, but he wishes to make more friends and even find a lover one day. Combat Aster greatly dislikes violence of any kind and will avoid it if at all possible, but when push comes to show he can be quite fierce with his claws and teeth, clawing and biting anything in sight. Others Aster doesn't have a home or job, but he wishes to settle someplace where he can fit in. His favourite food is Sandclowns and his favourite drink is Cactus Juice. He has no hobby but hopes to find one which he can enjoy in his spare time. His one pet peeve is when the bugs he's trying to eat squirms up his arm, which mostly happens with caterpillars. Elias always listened to classical music, so Aster came to enjoy it as well, as to take after his owner. He can also jump through hoops if asked to. Elias Charlie Karlsson, a 74-year-old human male of Swedish origin. Owner of Aster. Birthed the 23rd of August 3211, dead since 3285. History He created Aster after his wife died, as to keep him company in his last moments of life. He died from a heart attack one year after the creation of Aster, happy over the time he's gotten to spend with his pet. His last words were to Aster, telling him to go live a great life, find work and love, and maybe someday join him in the next life over.
