How does it work?: Alak'hai materials are used to create a gun that can be used to fire spike-like projectiles made of Chlorinium A and sharpened to a incredibly sharp edge, able to penetrate half a inch of aegisalt ( This is used as a standard due to its kinetic energy dispersal properties), while around a inch of durasteel can be punctured with a Kar'un or T'an, but on the O'kra and Zel it will puncture around a quarter of a inch of durasteel on average due to weakened force from faster fire-rate. The Ba'lal can puncture not even that, around a eigth of a inch of durasteel. The I'ela launcher fires a bulbous projectile that upon contact, will release a violent neurotoxin into the air as well as corrosive acid that can melt through half a meter of durasteel in a minute. The weapons actually fire when the trigger is pulled by the user, it will rapidly clench the tubes inside the weapon, creating enough force to propel the spikes at speeds akin to, if not faster than most bullets. Sights can be equipped onto the Kar'un and are used via means of neurally connecting the sight to the user, as to see through it like a third eye.
