    "SOLDIERRRR!!!"

An Apex child opens it's eyes. Wednesday, 11 am. It's met with a face of an adult, twisted by anger and eyes scourged by blood. A lazy reaction of the kid meets with a series of laughs from another in his age. It's a classroom with metal desks and wooden chairs, walls filled with emptiness. The laugh does not last for long, cut by a punch of a clenched fist at the sleepy child. The room transforms into dead silence as the child falls to the ground, a quiet weep escaping it's throat. He knows where he is. He knows he can't cry. Soldiers don't cry, soldiers admit their mistake. He pushes himself up from the ground to stand straight, a swollen mark already claiming it's position at the side of his face.

"SLEEPING, SOLDIER?! SLEEPING?! YOU THINK IT IS A JOKE, YOU THINK YOU WILL HAVE TIME TO SLEEP WHEN AN ENEMY ATTACKS?! THIS IS ONE OF THE MANY PLACES THAT WILL DEFEND OUR TRUE POWER WHEN THE TIMES OF DANGER COME. WE ARE YET TO PROVE OUR WORTH, SOLDIER! BECAUSE A SOLDIER LIKE YOU IS MEANT TO PROVE THAT BIG APE CARES FOR CIVILIANS! WORKERS MAKE US, AND WE DEFEND WORKERS!" The adult screamed at kid's face, leaving trails of saliva on it. The child doesn't even flinch, looking up above the teacher's head. It's okay, admit your mistake. Be stronger. Be the proof.

"..YES SIR! I AM SORRY SIR! IT WAS STUPID OF ME TO BE SELFISH, SIR!" Child shouted at the ceiling, his chest puffed in a pose learnt from textbooks.

The adult leans back, face possessed by mania of perfection transformed into a cold mask, looking down at the dead silent classroom.

"Now, let this be another lesson from Big Ape to you all. Do you think you can become a hero of our Ministry if you sleep during passing down wisdom of generations? Do you think you have any voice against the smartest comrades that had ever lived and contributed to our society? Who are we but worms next to them, striving to be an imitation good enough so we become a foundation, that's right! We are a foundation, foundation for Big Ape to not worry about petty things. You, soldiers, are the gatekeepers of order..." His eye lock back onto the standing child, leaning forward once more. Ape nostrils widen as he stares at him for a second.

    "..DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!"

"SIR, YES SIR!" The kid screams back, not daring to make an eye contact with the teacher.

"Good." The tone changed back into a strict one. "Sit down. And don't dare to sleep again, as it will be the last time you disrespect our history."

The child takes it's seat, squeaking chair tearing the dense silence. He looks down onto the metal desk, seeing only a grey blur of fur.
