Name: Ysv'nk'tav (Purgatorian name)/Hundred-Handed Worm (Common name) Description: (Image credit: DaveRapoza) The Ysv'nk'tav are among the most terrifying, and the most rare, beasts to ever dwell within Erebus; they are absolutely massive worm-like creatures armored with thick chitin scales running along their full length, with large and strong arms like a centipede with sharp claws. They have a single massive, pale eye accustomed to dark light, and razor sharp teeth in their monsterous jaws. Beings of rage and destruction, they run rampant through the largest caverns once they must feed. They were originally created long ago by one of the native species of the Undercrypt, Purgatorian Worms, via genetic experimentation on other Worms to create a massive warbeast. This wasn't really a good idea, and it only led to the monsters going on a rampage and reproducing. Behavior: Eat everything on sight until it gets full and goes to sleep again for another 30 years (or is waken up). Tamability: No. Where is it found?: Very few are found in Erebus inside the Undercrypt, most of them being inside of the crack leading to Purgatory's surface in the Isle Impuratus, crawling along the vast rock walls and often killing things that try to come down. Rarity: Very rare. Expect not to find one unless in the extremely rare occurrence that one happens to come down to the main caverns to feed. Diet/Method of gaining nutrients and energy: Nom nom everything, even other megabeasts. Products?: Bragging rights Reproduction: Every half century they regurgitate a massive egg fertilized by itself asexually, embedding it into a small cave mouth where the egg hatches after 10 years and grows to become a full worm in 200 years. Size: Absolutely big, around the length of two football fields. Weight: Thousands of tons Lifespan: 1500 years Abilities: Thick chitin makes attacking it difficult. Sharp claws and teeth. Big eye can see great detail and in low-light vision. Really fucking big Flaws: - Their eye is vulnerable, and throwing a powerful explosive in their mouth may kill them. Very long and large, making maneuvering through small areas hard or impossible. Eye is weak to very bright lights.
