//A post is made on a forum by User S.A.M.// I've been think about this a lot. Many sapient beings pride themselves something. A lot of people seem to be referencing something I don't have. I look like a human. I act like a human, but I don't feel like a human. Am I a human based on how I look or behave, or am I not human because I am a Synthetic Intellgence who built her body to look human. What does it mean to be human?
//User AudioClinical Replies// Well this is a question that has no definite answer. I suggest you take note of the answers posted and come up with your own conclusion based on your analysis... As for the question a human is a human not because of their look and behaviour but also because of the values they hold and, in some cases, the willingness to do things for the betterment of those they hold dear...At least from what I can understand.
//TSTMNT replies// no a human is a human because theyre a human and a hylotl is a hylotl because theyre a hylotl and a synth is a synth becayse theyre a synth
//User S.A.M. replies// I do not mean it in the literal sense. I mean it in the general philosophical way.
// ShaFlower32 comments \\ Philosophical? Well I guess if... that's a hard question, but it can mean anything. It's like asking 'what is the meaning to life' in a philosophical meaning it's anything you make it, in a literal sense it's to reproduce and die. I've been contemplating questions like this for the past five years of my life, you don't always get an answer, but you can drive yourself crazy trying to find one, so be careful when trying to find an answer.
// Snip posts. \\ You will never be a human, philisophically or physically. You won't have it genetically, or mentally, being you were not naturally created and your mind was not naturally created. You may have human morals and thoughts, but you will never be truely human.
//Dochtor leaves a response// Being human means setting yourself to a standard above that of all others. It's the will to constantly better yourself and make a difference in the world around you, whether it be big or small. It's the ability to say "I can, and I will" even when all others say "You can't, and you won't". It's a someone that's able to take more of the blame and less of the credit for their actions, rather than be a pompous fool flaunting their feats. As an artificial construct, you may look like one of us, you may talk like one of us, and you may even think like one of us, but you will never be one of us in the end.
