    Name: Watchers, thin men, etc.

Description: Described as "haunting" by those who have seen them, a watcher has a long, thin body commonly violet in color, encased in an exoskeleton. Balanced on its thin neck is a black-violet head, segmented off into several portions. With two bright violet eyes similar to a humans. The segments on the head can split open, it's whole head in this way is something like a mouth, the unraveled head leading directly into its neck. Surprisingly it's neck can fit things up to 3 times it's width through it, thanks to a strong acid used by it. Curiously due to the lack of limbs on it's body, a Watcher is often stuck wherever it is born, either stabbing it's body into the ground or hooking it onto something. However some have learned to roll or bounce to get around. They have an open circulatory system.

Behavior: A watcher is known to follow the biggest thing its sight, whatever it is, from where it stands. When it gets close enough, it will launch forward and attempt to use the sharp point at the end of it's body to stab into the head or head of the being, before devouring it.

Tamability: It is rather tricky to tame one of them, requiring you to either train it from birth or supply it with larger animals to eat for a period of a year. But once that happens it will follow your orders, and some people even use them as weapons.

Where is it found?: Most often in darkest areas or forested areas, however they can largely be found anywhere with animals or meat.

Rarity: It is uncommon, as they often prefer to separateĀ in order to stop the situation of fighting over food.

Diet/Method of gaining nutrients and energy: Purely carnivorous, it will stab into a victim with its body's point, which has about as much power behind it as a typical spear, before devouring their body slowly. They are capable of surviving for long periods unfed, relative to their last meal, particularly large meals can last them upwards of a month.

Products?: It's chitinous body can be used to make a variety of things, while it's strong acid has its own, obvious uses.

Reproduction: They reproduce asexually, vomiting out a small egg that some have compared to a seed into a victim, or onto an approaching animal. This seed will grow quickly over a period of a week, before becoming an infantile Watcher. However nothing but the size of the creature really changes. The host is often eaten soon after, as the infant's first meal.

Size: They are normally between 6 and 8 feet tall.

Weight: They weigh around 40 pounds.

Lifespan: A single one lives to anywhere between 50 and 60 if properly fed.

    Abilities:
    -Strong acid
    -Pointy body
    -Whole head is a mouth

    Flaws:
    -Largely immobile or slow moving
-Defenseless if it misses the first hit
-Open circulatory means if it is pierced, it will most often bleed out afterwards.

    Hello @zecon125
I'm going to be giving these Watchers a light pending.
My only questions are the following. What piercing power does this spike have, and how long can a Watcher go unfed?

A watcher can survive no longer then a human when unfed, and the spike has about as much power as your typical spear or other stabbing weapon would given the weight behind it.

Alright. Keep in mind species that eat huge meals and wait for prey typically last a good few weeks (perhaps even a month or two) without eating. I do not mind if you wish for Watchers to reflect this or not.
As for the spike's stabbing power, edit that into the doc and then ping me.

In that case, Watchers get a pass.
Don't get an eye poked out by a Watcher when you're out hiking in the woods.
