    Name:
     Treot (Muraenuarius Taxiatus)

    Description:

A short haired quadrupedal mammal, with two large horns protruding from it's head. It appears mostly bovine in nature, aside from the shell on it's back used for protection. It has small, hooved feet, and a tuffed tail. Their colors vary, but are most commonly seen in shades of brown or tan.

    Behavior:
Treots generally travel alone or in small packs, wandering the land until they find food This usually means sticking close to rivers. They'll stop to eat, keeping at least two (if in a pack) on guard duty before switching places. The Alpha always gets first choice on what to eat. Treots are generally docile, but have are shown to be very ferocious when provoked. As a form of attack, they generally will make short charges or run up at things in order to get them to run, until the provoker is tired out. When this happens, the Treot will finish them with a single, full charge.

    Tamability:

Treots are fairly easy to tame, and follow orders well, provided they are rewarded with a steady supply of food. A Treot is generally easier to tame based on where it lives. If there's more food where it lives, the Treot will be harder as it has less of an excuse to follow your orders.

    Where is it found?:
Treots can be found in savannahs, most commonly. On rare occasions they can be found wandering snowfields.

    Rarity:
A Treot or Treot pack is semi rare, with about one pack per 5 miles.

Diet/Method of gaining nutrients and energy:
Treots are herbivores, who are particularly fond of leafy greens, as opposed to grass and the like. As such, one can tame them using cabbages or lettuce. In the wild they normally eat ferns and the like, as those are readily accessible in oasis-es.

    Products?:
Treots produce milk and ivory, as their horns will fall off every so often to grow stronger ones. A Treot can be milked almost identically to a cow, albiet their milk tastes more like almond milk.

    Reproduction:
Treots use sexual, live birth reproduction. The calves generally learn to walk within the first hour of being born. Their mating is almost identical to that of a bison.

    Size:
Treots average around 5 feet tall, 8 feet long. This does not include their tail fur.

    Weight:
On average, a Treot weighs in at about 700 pounds. Alpha Treots often weigh 850.

    Lifespan:
A Treot can live for about 50 years, provided it has the resources to do so.

    Abilities:
Surprisingly, Treots have a coat of blubber alongside their normal fat and skin to help protect against the cold. They're surprisingly buoyant, and can be used as a ferry by those who tame them. Like a moose, they often will snort to warm air in front of them before breathing it to assist in keeping themselves warm. Similar to certain species of mammals, Treots have a fair amount of pores they use to keep themselves cool via sweat.

    Flaws:
Treots drop all other priorties to protect their offspring. This can often be used to take them down as they're no longer paying attention to their own attackers, and instead, to that of their offspring.

    Other:
There is currently one in the local fringe named Gizmo.
