Planet Name: Etea Environment: Etea is rocky, dusty, and uninhabitable to organic life, with brutal purple windstorms and an unbreathable atmosphere. The planet's ECF is dangerously high, roughly fifteen cuils, with some variation depending on location. The planet is slightly smaller than earth, with only 80% of its mass. Large portions of the planet's surface has been covered with superthin films of sunlight-absorbing Visitant matter, enough to be seen from space. The planet has one small ring that occasionally gets in the way of ship travel. Resources: Transition metals can be mined from the planet's crust, and are by the Visitant population. Population Size: ~2 billion Visitant, 300 million non-Visitant hyperspace species living in the high cuil areas. Settlements: Etea is one of the largest Visitant colonies in the fringe, the cuil level having artificially been raised to accommodate a staggering number of colonists. Cities are most dense near the equator, where there's the most sunlight, and are powered by massive films of black matter that absorb as much sunlight as possible to convert it into chemical energy. Etea's colonization was recent, less than a decade ago, so cultural identity is only just now beginning to form. Etean Visitant see themselves as proud, practical and hardworking, having built their cities so recently and so quickly themselves. Many are former realpacers that lived in the Fringe before they thetafied; their Realspacer influences often appear in Etean architecture, fashion and art.
