Those organics who get forever lost within the Undercrypt are fated to an inevitable end from insanity and deformation, Forsaken adventurers with hollowed, rotted faces, deformed features, and a mind rotted down to primal understanding of only animosity, woe, and regret, personifying negative emotions as they scream in anger or weep in woe as they attack, essentially zombies filled with basic instinct. Those fighting the Forsaken are reminded of the grim fate awaiting them when they are lost, and the utmost importance of keeping your sanity in Erebus. The process of bodily change can take around a year, though the actual process mostly depends on one's willpower to stay sane and rational.

Their blood thin and seemingly to cling on life itself with rotted skin and hollowed features, the Forsaken are organic adventurers who have succumbed to the inevitable insanity and rot resulting from both the thin black blight present in the air and the distortion of reality that surrounds them in the form of the Undercrypt's heightened ECF that attack the body naturally, degrading it over periods of years as the victim organism succumbs to natural insanity due to the feared dangers of the Undercrypt and a lack of resources, including having to drink infected water and kill for a needed meal. Some are frostbitten completely if in Boreas, some burned and charred from flames. Some even appear almost skeletal in appearance, the surface of their skin rotted and their muscles damaged, their strength primarily coming from their rage.

Behavior: A Forsaken will wander, its original mind degraded to insanity and deprecation as it feeds on those it kills, even the flesh of its own race. It will attack most in sight except stronger monsters or other Forsaken, using the weapons and armor they may have had or their malformed claws. Some are found wandering with other Forsaken, companions who degraded with them and are now companions in insanity, never leaving their side in their woeful desperation and attack.

Tamability: If one were to be present for the duration of one's degradation, while maintaining sanity themselves (or being inorganic), the Forsaken will cling to them in near lifeless desperation, a shadow of a former friend following and even protecting the other in a locked state of despair, finding only comfort in the sane other.

Where is it found?: Within Erebus in the Undercrypt, and sometimes in Boreas as well. Even rarer, one may find the rare one on a Midnight planet if they had access to thermal and other gear to survive on the planet.

Rarity: Sadly, one of the more common sights in the Undercrypt. One may even be unlucky enough to find a Forsaken Purgatorian soldier, exiled in gear.

Diet/Method of gaining nutrients and energy: Similar to how they ate before, only with no standards.

Products?: Whatever they had with them; some Forsaken may have treasure they got before they degraded.

Reproduction: As they did before, for no one organic race is free from degradation.
