//A short news post is shared in some greater Fringe circles. It's from "Terminatus Trident," a news network in one of the smaller cities in Terminatus, a high-population Fringe system in the area bordering Hylotl space.//

This Wednesday morning, unmanned probes sent into the territory of the Ascended Superhive detected conflict between two fleets of Superhive ships, just one hyperlane away from the Amin'qu system.
Amin'qu is an Ascended-controlled solar system second-furthest from the Superhive capital. Its dispersed, lower density population leads local disease ecologists to believe it was one of those least affected by the Holy Fire pandemic.
Both fleets were recognizably Superhive-made, according to our local expert on Superhive bio-organic technology.

"This isn't the first time we've seen a conflict between Superhive ships," says Border-System Director Ray Randy, who manages the Ascended monitoring program. "But never at this scale. What we're seeing are fleet sizes that only entire planets can support. This could be a civil war on the solar system scale."
Judging from ship casualty rate, debris patterns and ship signature forensics, the conflict is estimated to have begun on the 16th or earlier.
Planetary officials have pledged to continue monitoring the situation.
