Name of technology or augmentation: Spideroids Description: What looks like a small jumping spider, nothing suspicious, it's actually a Drone with a powerful Wireless transmitter in its abdomen, and a sticky thread dispenser to allow for safety from jumping. How does it work: An explanation of the internal systems: The Drone gains movement from small servos, with a small battery powering things. To jump, it takes inspiration from the actual jumping spider and uses a type of hydraulic system to propel itself across 30 times its own length (Length is same to that of a jumping spider.) Vision: the main part of this system, Utilising 2 Main cameras infront, 2 secondary cameras next to those ones, and 2 side cameras. Transmitter: Utilizing technology similar to that of the radios of the fringe, it can transmit pretty much anywhere. Spinnerets: Utilizing a small tank of material similar to a spider web, but stronger to support the slightly increased weight of the drone, it uses this to provide a fail safe when jumping It Can bite, but this does not have venom or anything, just leaves two marks. Does not hurt as much as venom either. Climbing. Utilizing a system of small Nano-hairs with a kind of vacuum end on them, it can climb and sticks just good enough to support its own weight. It has 2 modes, 1 where it acts like a spider and 2 where it does what the User says/ In autonomous mode it is a little smarter than a jumping spider. In manual mode, the user takes control, be it human, AI, or any species. The spiders Can be sold, and bought. And They can be built if someone acquires the right materials and parts, though they might need some delicate craftsmanship due to their small size and intricate circuitry, Thus factories that specialise in small techs could build these.
