Name: Swift Traversal All-Terrain Mobility Powersuit, S.T.A.M.P, Stamps, Scout Suit, Augmented Agility Gear

    Description:
Stamps have no set appearance, as many different designs by various manufacturers all have the same general set of capabilities and fall under the name as a generalization. The only universal factor is that the powersuits are full-body in nature, though many choose to forgo the environmental protection and sensors to purely have the increased mobility to save on cost.

    Abilities:

High-Speed: Stamps allow a wearer to move at incredibly high speeds, up to a maximum of sixty four kilometers per hour.

High-Jump: Stamps are outfitted with a powerful spring and piston-based jump system, allowing a wearer to add up to three meters in height to a standing high-jump in Earth-like gravity, while a long-jump can be extended up to twenty meters.

All-Environment: Stamps are rated for nearly every environment, barring extreme outliers. A wearer is protected from radiation, extreme temperatures ranging from 93°C to -128°C, and can keep a wearer safe from ocean pressure up to 400 meters in depth. The suit itself is air-tight, and has a high-end air filtration system which allows a user to go up to forty eight hours without requiring fresh oxygen.

    Conditional Abilities:

    Void-Capable:
Stamps are void-hardened and sealed, allowing an individual wearing them to survive within space so long as the suit remains powered. Some Stamps are also equipped with micro-pulse thrusters for use as an RTS, allowing movement as well.

Long-Fall: The systems that enhance a Stamp wearer’s jumps have a secondary purpose; negating damage from impact on-landing. Stamps can protect a wearer from a fall of twenty meters in Earth-like gravity, though in the gravity of other worlds this may be higher or lower comparatively.

Sensor Suite: Stamps are often outfitted with a wide variety of sensory and visual systems for exploration, and in some cases combat duties. Some Stamps have only a few of the following, while others have all of them, and some have none. These systems include; an advanced mapping system that automatically adds their surroundings into a stored drive, allowing a wearer to understand where they’ve traveled and see a map of the immediate area around them; a dedicated IFF system, which can be linked with other Stamps to provide a visual overlay on identification, and provide a location on the mapping system; a trio of visual optics which allow a wearer to see in infrared, ultra-violet, and view darkened areas as if they were bright rather than traditional night vision; a suite of environmental sensors that relay the temperature, atmospherics, air quality and content, radiation levels, water quality, and localized weather; built-in long-range radio and a set of external speakers to allow a wearer to communicate outside of the suit; all of which is relayed to a HUD within the helmet of a Stamp itself.

    Limitations:

Electro-Magnetic Susceptibility: While hardened against EMP to the point where a Stamp cannot be shut down, some of its systems are disabled for three turns when a pulse hits them. These include their HUD, low-light, ultra-violet and infrared vision, IFF sensors, local map, environmental sensors, external speakers, and radio.

Battery: While efficient, Stamps have a limited active operation time of eight hours without requiring charge. Most commonly, this is done through a series of betavoltaic cells either built into the back of the suit, or carried as an external module. To fully recharge a powersuit it takes four hours of minimal to no activity. If a suit is exhausted entirely of power, all systems barring the air recycling are shut down.

Armor: To remain lightweight enough to not inhibit the speed or require mechanical support, Stamps can be equipped with nothing stronger than light armor- with the exception of Plasteel plates, which can be medium strength due to the low weight of the material. Many Stamps are left without armor entirely.

    Conditional Limitations:

Expensive: While not a real limit if a given individual is wealthy enough, or is a part of a well-funded organization, a single Stamp is easily thirty thousand pixels due to the technology put into its construction. Repairs can become similarly expensive depending on the severity of the damages a suit takes.

Training: A Stamp cannot simply be put on and used instantly, a given wearer has to fulfill two requirements to utilize one properly. The first is that they must be incredibly fit, as the suit is very physically straining to use. The second is that it typically requires one to two months of training for a wearer to use a Stamp without issue, given that the speed and maneuvers they can perform while wearing one takes time to fully get used to.

    How does it work:
Stamps function by utilizing a mix of synthetic muscles and a full-body exosuit catered towards mobility rather than strength, assisting a wearer in their movements to an incredible degree; combined with a small set of pulse thrusters for low to zero gravity situations. These systems, combined with multiple form-fitting undersuits functioning as environmental protection gear and an advanced air filtration system built into the helmet, allow a wearer to survive and remain mobile in most areas. Most, if not all, of the various sensory systems are also located within the helmet itself.

    Flavor text:
Stamps were originally designed for use in various pioneer initiatives across multiple species, allowing for a relatively safe tool for exploring new environments. This use has continued in the modern day, but the powersuits themselves have also found a place within various military organizations as scouting or spec-ops equipment.

Suit that makes you go fast. Yeah okay.

    Pass.
