How does it work: Four Gimballed thrusters keep the user stable, Leaning forward makes you go forward etc. Small gyroscopes in the heels also assist stability. These gyroscopes also aid in stability as they can report any unintentional instabilities to the mini-computer in the boots that calculates the adjustments. IR sensors make sure you are level with the ground by beaming IR at the floor, using the mini-computer to calculate any bumps. Slopes will be ignored and the user will fly upwards as they approach the slope, the computer making the necessary thrust adjustments. You can launch the boots in manual (No stability), this is via a small thing (e.g a switch) you could attatch (strap) to the arm with two buttons on it, or just press the buttons on the boots themselves. What is it's intended use: Flight. Strengths: Flight for about an Hour on full charge Could be useful in combat, maybe. Weaknesses: The boots can only fly for about 7-8 odd minutes per flight before the battery overheats, this is due to their large capacity and high output tradeoff for such a small battery pack. Running out of power could be, catastrophic (e.g. Falling to death) No EMP protection Quite heavy.
