Putting his head together with the other founders, they found this to be the best optimization of both fields and drafted it into service for use along the standard police uniform, which only sports a kevlar vest interwoven with carbon fiber and a taser. How does it work?: The suit goes on like any standard fullbody combat armor. The left arm sports a tear gas canister launcher, intended for clearing out larger crowds of rowdy folk while the right arm has a tazer function, which can be used either in melee range or up to 10m away, at a risk of missing. There are no real other augments, the suit is a balance between comfort and practicality, as metal gets much brittler in the cold, it is primarily consistent of a intricately woven kevlar and carbon fiber vest, encased within a thin durasteel outer plate on the center of mass both front and back. The interior padding is mostly just to keep the user warm. There is an ignition key that prevents theft of the suits and use of them off-world, requiring a DNA scan from a registered user, and a temperature readout. The suit will not activate any functions, including the nonlethal weapons, if the temperature is 20*C over the colony's planet. The DNA recognition can be wiped if the police person is no longer in service by an admin code that the founder has, so that the suit may be reassigned to a new user. Intended use: Policing a frigid colony that frequently has low visibility due to consistent blizzards. Strengths: Entirely cold-immune unless punctured. Targeting correction in the helmet assists user during poor visibility conditions. Resistant to small-arms fire. Pretty comfy, for armor. Comes with several non-lethal takedown mechanics. Shock-padding for explosive shockwaves. Weaknesses: EMPs will disrupt the targeting assist. It's red. It tends to stand out in a mostly white environment. Medium caliber and above will still get through. Does not stop explosive shrapnel. Or any shrapnel. Completely useless without the 'ignition' key. Flame based weaponry can fool and shutdown the systems with prolonged exposure. How do you believe this will assist in benefiting roleplay?: It lets the people who want to be my police not die so easily. Not like it'll help, lets be real here, everyone's gonna want to gun them down anyway. Attainability: [Open] (Previously Semi-Open) Tags: [Military]
