    Name:
Redactor, Mindkiller, Forget-me-lots, AE-37, Putaverunt Iocus

    Description:
The appearance of the anomalous creatures know as Putaverunt Iocus is always the same. A tall, vaguely Humanoid figure made up of decaying cloth-like material, and various types of flora. This has only been determined after consistent viewing with electronic devices.[IMG]

    Behavior:
Putaverunt Iocus are a nocturnal predator species. Sleeping for a short period in the day, before exploring out in search of prey in its area. If none can be found, it moves on.

    Tamability:
Putaverunt Iocus cannot be tamed. All previous attempts have resulted in failure and/or death.

    Where is it found?:
Putaverunt Iocus is a species not native to our reality. When it arrived is uncertain, but now that it is here it can be found in many populated zones. From cities, to stations, to military bases. Its habitat is one where there is food.

    Rarity:
Rare. Putaverunt Iocus are solitary creatures, never being found in more than a single trio unless necessary for survival.

Diet/Method of gaining nutrients and energy:
Putaverunt Iocus are carnivorous, and gluttons. Searching for twice their body weight in food each time they hunt. Their preferred prey is other sapient creatures; this is due to a quirk with their antimemetic abilities which leads them to seek out prey with higher brain function.

    Products?:
Putaverunt Iocus excrete large amounts of a rust-hued dust as a waste product, which upon consumption causes short-term memory loss. Constant consumption eventually causes long-term memory loss.

    Reproduction:
Putaverunt Iocus reproduce sexually with two others of its kind, and stay bonded for life. If one of the trio dies, the others typically begin to cease caring for themselves within a week- this often leads to death. Putaverunt Iocus always produce three offspring, which are then abandoned to fend for themselves.

    Size:
Around seven feet tall on average. Slight variations do exist.

    Weight:
    Two hundred and thirty pounds.

    Lifespan:
The upper limit of the Putaverunt Iocus' lifespan has not been discovered, however it is likely between one hundred and two hundred years, leaning towards the latter.

    Abilities:
When a being stops visually observing a Putaverunt Iocus, they completely forget its existence and lose all memory of its presence. They have no recollection of how any injuries they may have obtained from it were caused, how anyone they saw killed were killed, etc etc.

When photographed, or have any information about them written down, the details and appearance are immediately forgotten when they cease being observed, and the writer/photographer forget that they ever wrote about/photographed the Putaverunt Iocus. The notes and pictures still exist, but anyone who finds them and ceases observation forgets they exist.

Putaverunt Iocus are equipped with a pair of long serrated claws as natural weapons. Able to saw through flesh and bone with ease.

Putaverunt Iocus are incredibly fast, able to move at around 40mph at full-sprint.

    Flaws:
Mnestic drugs in large doses while observing a Putaverunt Iocus allow one to recall the specific incident with some degree of clarity, allowing them to remember the incident, and remember any notes, photos or videos that were taken.

Like most Anomalous entities, a Putaverunt Iocus can not be exposed to incredibly low ECF, or it suffers immediate total organ failure.

Synthetic beings are not effected by the Putaverunt Iocus' abilities.

Psions with anti-neuroinvasion/antimemtic abilities have immunity from the Putaverunt Iocus' memory wiping effects as long as the ability is active.

Putaverunt Iocus are not endurance predators. It can only pursue prey in a chase for a short period of time before it requires rest. The time they can chase is roughly two minutes.

    Other:
This document was written by Doctor C Niall De Mentcha, of the Gallows ACF research staff. Staff with access levels of two or higher may view this document, otherwise report to the nearest guard station for memory redaction.

AE-37 is categorized as a class one neuro-hazard, a class two meta-hazard, and a class four containment hazard.

AE-37s are to be kept under synthetic guard at all times by Hangmen combat androids.
