    Name: Pirina, AKA Petalblade. (Floran)

    Description:
    (In-game appearance)

A floran that stands at about 6’2’’ tall but who’s size may differ depending on the season and the diet they had in the recent weeks. (Though the greatest height they are capable of reaching is 6’2’’) Their body is of a pale green color, their leaves of a yellowish color and their petal ranging in shades of pink and purple. Pirina possesses short claws on each finger and toe and two longer more predominant fangs in their maw.

    Abilities:

Petablade’s sap and overall body is considered toxic, if not dangerous to most organics once consumed or injected into their blood circulatory system. Pirina’s toxins share similarities to a few known toxins such as saponin, digitoxigenin, oleandrin and alkaloids.

Pirina’s toxins could affect an organism in different ways, its effects ranging from mild discomfort to life threatening consequences and symptoms depending on the factors at hand. (For example, the sheer amount of toxins involved, the affected organism, treatments, etc.)

Pirina’s toxins symptoms and effects may include:

    - Sentiment of euphoria

    - Skin rash

    - Drooling

    - Diarrhea

    - Nausea/Vomiting

    - Dizziness

    - Confusion

    - Blurry vision

    - Lethargy (In higher doses)

    - Fainting (In higher doses)

    - Visual hallucinations similar to LSD (In higher doses)

    - Seizures (In higher doses)

    - Death (if in high doses and left un-attended)

Those effects can last from a few minutes to a couple hours. How fast they act and how long they remain depends on where and how much was injected.

    Conditional abilities:

Micro doses of those toxins can be used and transformed with re-creative purposes. (Euphoria/hallucinations)

    Especially dangerous to cold-blooded species

    Limitations:

Though the toxins can be dangerous, it must be forced into the targets system to have any effect. Pirina can inject those toxins directly through her fangs. This mean is more potent and dangerous than the others and if injected near vital organs or important blood vessels could prove itself rather dangerous.

***Pirina’s claws CANNOT inject any toxins***

Another mean of intoxicating an organism would be through the consumption of Pirina’s blood/sap or leaves/petals. Despite being less potent than a direct bite, this means; however, that Pirina’s bodily fluids and body parts can be used to create dangerous poisons, drugs. (hallucinogens, laxatives, painkillers) With the proper knowledge, toxins quantity and time – one could make an antitoxin.

Of course, non-organics are immune to these toxins; Glitch, synths, novakids, etc. A floran sharing similar abilities or any other organism possessing similar toxins in their own system may be less affected than others.

Finally, Pirina can only produce a certain amount of toxins in a single-day and to remain efficient and potent enough, the floran would need to wait few hours between uses.

    -----------
Lethal doses cause death at a minimum of 3 hours. Onset of symptoms on average begins at a minute, the more major ones taking place in about ten, alongside the regular ones that would appear a minute in.

    How does it work:

First, the fangs work much like those of a snake. A gland is located near the floran’s mouth’s roof and a canal leads the toxins to the fangs.

As for the toxins themselves, they are simply a defensive system present in the floran. Its toxins resemble the ones that could be found into the morning glory or the wolf bane flower – though their exact components are unknown.

Sorry it's taken so long to get through these.

My main question right now is, was this something this character was born with, or was this a medical procedure?

If it's the former, considering the severity of departure from normal Floran biology, I'd say this would be a deferral, needing to be app'd to sub-species instead.

EDIT: Forget all the shit in black. I'm a writhing, frothing mass of continuously-hemorrhaging brain cells.

    This seems fine. First

Looks pretty good, always a fan of Floran mutations. Putting this on pending for only one reason- florans with venom aren’t particularly rare, so this app should be open unless you can provide proper justification (this specific kind of venomous mutation is only found in a colony you plan on writing about, for example)
