Name: Phase Matter Vacuums, Electron Suckers, "That Ghost Busters Thing", etc.

Description: Phase Vacuums are large devices meant to suck in phase matter at a sufficient distance; essentially the primary tool appears as some type of device with a wide, narrow open end that is able to suck in phase matter or phase matter organisms; many of these tools appear similar to vacuum cleaner suctions, giving it their name. A thick pipe of protective fabric also connects to a large backpack on the user's back that both powers the device and has a holding chamber to shrink and store phase matter organisms, while inducing a weak passive electric charge to sustain the phase matter organism; typically it also comes with a valve or other storage device so that the phase matter organisms can be freed or stored for whatever purpose, whether it be for study or for cool pets.

The vacuum suction itself can take on a variety of different appearance, mostly having a glowing stream of some color when phase matter is actually being sucked in.

    Abilities:

Sucks in any phase matter at a max distance of 10 meters; takes longer the further it is. The suction 'beam' is shaped like a thinner cone that can suck in multiple organisms at once.

Safely stores phase matter and phase matter organisms by packing them into the backpack. Not comfortable, but efficient!

    3 hour battery life.

     Limitations:

Takes longer to suck in larger amounts of matter; phase matter organisms that can resist more take longer to vacuum in. For example, a full Erchius Ghost may take over 10 seconds to fully vacuum.

Heavy, needing both the vacuum and a backpack with a pipe.

All the ghosts are released and the sucking stops when the device is subjugated to an EMP attack.

Storage is limited to the equivalent of 40 WSP (wispers)

How does it work: The vacuum cleaner is a weak proton-field beam that works to suck in the floating electrons tangled with quasi-neutrinic matter, pulling the phase matter with it into the vacuum; then, the phase matter is stored within the backpack using a field of the same type to prevent the phase organism from phasing out by locking it in and packing it up. Organisms that turn into phase matter temporarily are locked in their phasing state, their phase matter sustained with the backpack.

Flavor text: Phase Matter Vacuums emerged a few hundred years ago as an invention by the Miniknog to safely store and study phase matter organisms, particularly the ones that are hostile. Very soon after its opening, other races and people began to adopt the technology, with it being made from fairly accessible proton technology. Now it serves as an effective tool to combat dangerous phase matter organisms such as erchius ghosts. In addition, other containment units for phase matter organisms have emerged.
