Name: Netherling (Toxicus verme) Description: A Netherling is a a small flight-capable creature appearing as a large, green scaled worm with thin bat-like wings with webbed membranes that have toxic acids and poisons flowing inside of them; the head of the creature has two rows of bioflourescent yellow eyes and a mouth of a row of sharp fangs with poison seeping from the tips. Younger Netherlings appear without wings, smaller worms with scales that are not as defined. They are creatures that utilize both acid and poison to kill; their wingtips constantly secret a vile acid containing powerful enzymes, causing the acid to corrode and burn skin into goop fairly quickly even eating through metal within time. The Netherling's sharp fangs will inject a deadly poison that paralyzes their pray within a minute completely, hampering breathing in 10 minutes and stopping the heart completely in 20. In addition, their esophagus is capable of spitting out balls of the acid. Behavior: Roam and kill. Tamability: It cannot be tamed unless captivated at birth. Where is it found?: Netherlings are found within the Nether Chasms in Erebus, located inside of the Undercrypt; they may also be found in other places like the Nether Chasms if brought there, places filled with poison gas and water and acid. Rarity: Netherlings are semi common in the Nether Reaches. Diet/Method of gaining nutrients and energy: Carnivorous; they will kill their opponents first and then feed on them, using their acid to break them down with ease. Products?: Their acid and poison sacs can be extracted to obtain the acid or poison. Reproduction: Sexual reproduction; they lay fist-sized eggs that will hatch in a few weeks into a Netherling larva, eventually growing into a worm in three weeks and a full Netherling in 6 months. Size: Medium - around 1-2 meters in length, depending on age.
