    Name: Medium mechs

Description: Medium mechs are anywhere between 14 feet and 16 feet tall (although they can come down to the height of light mechs, trading size for extremely thick and bulky armour to keep the weight down) and clock in at anywhere from thirty-five thousand pounds to sixty-thousand pounds. Unlike their smaller cousin, the light mech, the medium mecha are not nearly as open to customisation, although they can still be equipped with a multitude of weaponry, due to their often heavy armour and intricate insides they cannot be refitted as easily as the light mech. Thus it is better to just have a bunch of different pre fitted loadouts on a slew of different mechas, each one for a different task. Due to their increased size however, the pilot has much more space inside of their cabin.

    Abilities:

-Medium mechs are incredibly powerful, building sized, siege machines.

-Unlike the light mecha, pilots will frequently have bigger cabins to sit in.

    Conditional abilities:

-Medium mechs can be equipped with any weapon. Even railguns. (More information on the weapons applicable can be found on the armour lore)

-As long as the mech weighs under forty thousand pounds it can be equipped with jumpjets, anything above will simply be useless as it's too much of a hassle to get off the ground, and landing is more than likely to get it stuck or break in one way or the other.

    Limitations:

-Cannot easily be equipped with whatever weapon you want.

-The increased intricacy of medium mechs compared to light mechs means that they have an increased chance of things randomly breaking.

    Conditional limitations:

-Due to the sheer weight and size of these, they can often struggle to wander in softer terrain such as bogs or forests, and they feet will frequently get stuck in the soil. This is why they demand powerful joints that can pull themselves out of the mud, along with massive flat feet to spread the weight out.

-Any medium mech over forty-thousand lbs cannot be equipped with jump jets.

-If the armour of the mech is broken sufficiently the mech will become susceptible to EMPs.

How does it work: The medium mechs work very much like their lighter counterparts, and use the same base principle. What they do have different is much larger feet, they usually also have arms to help with balancing and in the case of some larger models, booster jets to help push it onto its' feet. These booster jets are however rarely strong enough to be used as jump jets, the only exception being for smaller medium mecha.

    Flavor text:

Medium mechs are not nearly as common on the battlefield as their lighter counterparts, due to them being not only more expensive, but also because they aren't as flexible and open to customization. This is due to them being much more intricate, and weapons cannot be replaced as easily.
