    Solar System Name: M-190836-T1J
Star type(s): M-type main sequence (orange-red), K-type main sequence (red dwarf)

Location: Far northeast, within the red circle
Reachability: Semi-closed. The exact location/teleporter code is kept fairly secret and the hyperlane only passes near one of the stars, with the other being distant.
Contents: Binary star system, 7 planets (2+2+7+1+12+29+5=58 moons), 12 proto-planets, 1 significant comet
M-190836-T1J Aa – uninhabitable, rocky. The planet’s surface is clouded by superheated gas.
    M-190836-T1J Ab – habitable, temperate-cold wet
M-190836-T1J Ac – uninhabitable, gas giant
M-190836-T1J Ad – uninhabitable, rocky dwarf
M-190836-T1J Ae – uninhabitable, ice giant
M-190836-T1J Af – uninhabitable, gas giant
M-190836-T1J Ag – uninhabitable, icy dwarf

    Planet Name: M-190836-T1J Ab “Hopkins”
Environment: Hopkins is a temperate-cold wet planet rendered difficult for colonization by extensive and pronounced mountainous regions as well as the planet’s gravity well, 116% the strength of Earth’s. Due to distance from civilized space it has not been further looked into because initial long-range scans detect no high concentrations of stellar metals or other resources of note. Much of the planet’s wildlife is aquatic, cave dwelling, or avian in nature. Surface life tends toward the maximum size of a large dog, while aquatic life is much larger due to the amount of oxygen held in the planet’s water. It is, in a word, inconsequential.
Resources: Large and frequent deposits of gold. Other resources are present in earth-like amounts.
Population Size: 1, probably? It is possible that there are natives, or isolated settlers.
    Settlements: Nobody really lives here.
    Backstory Permissions: Closed/Uninhabited
Notes: The planet’s north hemisphere faces the sun for an inordinate amount of time, leaving the southern hemisphere in a cold season for the bulk of the planet’s erratic, 478 day orbit. A full day is approximately 29 hours, and the general weather patterns are not necessarily inclement but they are constant – cloud cover masks the sky often, and precipitation is frequent. The atmosphere is comprised of 19.1% oxygen, 79.7% nitrogen, 0.92% argon, 0.06% carbon dioxide, and 0.1% xenon with trace amounts of other gases. Temperature ranges from -21c to 24c on average, with the north hemisphere being the warmer of the two except during it’s winter. Due to the temperature differences, equatorial storms are common, and correspondingly much of the planet’s wildlife is aquatic, cave dwelling, or avian in nature. Surface life tends toward the maximum size of a large dog, while aquatic life is much larger due to the amount of oxygen held in the planet’s water. Almost 99% of the aquatic life on this planet has undergone carcinisation, resulting in crabs of wildly varying sizes, diets, and colorations... but they are ultimately crabs. The largest known species varies from 18 meters across the widest point of the shell to an astounding 42 meters. The smallest can be a miniscule 1cm with the same measurement.
Curiously, some of the aquatic life has shown signs of social grouping, teaching, and tool use - a genus of these crabs will gather to take down larger species, then harvest the corpse for large sections of carapace. These sections are then used as 'parachutes' to provide lift on ocean currents, enabling migration.

    Planet Name: M-190836-T1J Ab “Hopkins”
    Location Name: The Bunker
Location on Planet: Within the northern hemisphere, in a valley within a mountain range
Local Environment: Predominantly chilly, generally foggy during the first 14 hours of the day, often with a light dusting of snow from altitude.
Resources: Trees? There’s not much out here, unless a GM says otherwise.
Settlements: It’s a bunker in the middle of nowhere.
Notes: The bunker’s presence in the mountains is disguised from thermal readings by means of waste heat being used to heat a nearby spring. Penetrating radar scans are able to locate it.
