Name: Love Potions Description: Love Potions, commonly mistaken as aphrodisiacs despite their non-sexual function, are actually special drugs brewed into a viscous pink solution through a complex series of processes commonly done via a plant known as 'Cupearia', a plant of baby blue stem blooming into beautiful pink flowers, the dew of which is concentrated and then distilled into water containing a special sugar called 'Starsugar' at a high molarity, mixed with the scrapings of the Cupearia leaf right before it blooms; when stirred and turned slowly while sprinkling in more Starsugar, the pink hue brightens beautifully as the final concoction is complete. Sadly not enhancing libido or sexual attraction at all, the love potion instead serves as a trickster's tool to manipulate others, for the person who drinks or is injected with the concoction shall undergo many temporary hormonal changes that cause them to fall in love with the first person they see. Abilities: Causes the person whom drinks or is afflicted with it to fall in love with the first person they see after about five seconds of exposure. Limitations: Only lasts around a day if potent enough; more diluted versions have less effectiveness and last shorter times. Only works for most organics. How does it work: The concentrate of the Cupearia plant contains special enzymes, that when specially mixed in a solution of water and Starsugar, ferment after around a week into a special viscous solution containing enzymes and bacteria that trigger hormonal changes in the brain, triggering things such as sudden dopamine surges and more hormones to trigger a lovestruck emotion. Flavor text: Created by Vampyr alchemists long ago by the loneliest dude to ever grace the Vampyr planet of La'megoth, the man known as Irkanus was not exactly an ugly lad, but rather, being an alchemist, one of the most anti-social Vampyrs and a reject of society; he sought a young, beautiful woman whom he had his gaze on for quite a time, but could never quite attain. So he searched for less than conventional options, eventually finding the Cupearia plant deep within a watery, beautiful cave. Concocting a love potion to cheat his way to the heart of his beloved, he tricked her into drinking bloodbrew laced with the potion. And so she fell in love with him, and him with her, and they actually grew to be a fairly decent couple even after the love potion ran out, for thankfully he was slick and without spaghetti in his pockets.
