As of last Friday, the ex-Champion of the fairly popular Civ-Space branch CLB is on trial for aiding in the kidnapping of two children, including the daughter of the CLB's head announcer, in order to blackmail Galadrian Bushnell into helping his granddaughter Lisa Basil, also known as 'Boudicca', get through the league and reach the top. However, the current Champion Vilidius Cal successfully defended his title and called her out on live television. After the match was concluded, police received an anonymous tip as to Joseppi's involvement and the retirement home he was residing in. When the police arrived to investigate, they met with the now wheelchair bound Joseppi. After an extensive search of his room, they found a burner phone in a compartment in his chair which contained chat-logs between him, his two sons (Micheal and Lenny Basil), and Lisa Basil, where they had discussed small aspects of their plan, along with a direct order from Joseppi to Boudicca to murder fellow boxer Meekeem if she had the chance. He was taken into police custody and stood trial on Thursday, where the prosecutor managed to get a guilty verdict. Joseppi will now serve a life sentence, and a reward has been posted for anyone who is able to bring Lisa Basil in alive.

Here is everything that has been made public, organized into a neat timeline;

3244 - The former announcer for the CLB, Thomas 'Sparky' Bushnell, set up a grudge match between then Champion Joseppi Basil and Meekeem, who already had an impressive W:L ratio of 0:24. Joseppi lost due to mysterious circumstances, marking Meekeem's first (and currently only) win. He then pressured Thomas into wiping the match from the records. Joseppi quit the league out of shame, though the public story was that he wanted to settle down.
3245 - Trunk becomes the CLB's second Champion.
3246 - Joseppi's wife divorces him. She refused to tell paparazzi at the time why.

There is radio silence from the Basils between 3246 and 3285.

7/27/3284 - Meekeem faces off against Meat-Head in the 5th match of the first round. However, the Basils paid him not to show up so they could safely bet on Meekeem, making Meekeem the victor by default. At some point between the 27th and the 30th, Meat-Head strikes a deal with Galadrian to allow a rematch if one of the other competitors doesn't show.
7/30/3284 - Karnis'Vaerok doesn't show up to his match with Testament, and Meat-Head is allowed his rematch with Meekeem and all bets made on the initial match are refunded and/or returned, including bets made on Meekeem. Meat-Head is victorious.
8/6/3284 - The Basils attempt to get Vilidius Cal to take a fall during his match with Tigra, but he refused. They then tried to pay the on-site doctor, Leyna Steele, to drug Vilidius during his pre-match check-up, but she refused as well.
8/13/3284 - Testament is offered money to take a fall against Panter in the semi-final round. He took a portion of the payment up front, but spat in the Basil's faces by winning anyways. The Basils then retreated for the time being, after two unnamed individuals broke into their place of residence at the time.

12/30/3285 - Amber Bushnell is kidnapped and held hostage by Lisa and Joseppi Basil.

1/24/3286 - The second season of the CLB's Fringe branch opens with a match between Belle Parry and Mr. Satan. A user by the name of 'god' (who has asked me not to use their real name) on the Nexus chatroom noticed that an old trading card depicting Meekeem's stats from an earlier Civ-Space season had 1 win, which they submitted as evidence. She also showed ex-Senator Gary Noose this evidence, and the two of them began investigating. They are joined by Belle Parry and Keola. Boudicca manages to infiltrate the group.
1/26/3286 - Princess Genocide is scheduled to fight Meekeem, however, at some point he had been switched out with a mechanical counterpart. Galadrian claims to have trained the robot to box, however, he refused to say who was responsible for its creation. It is assumed that this was done to protect Meekeem from the Basils.
1/30/3286 - Boudicca, aka Lisa Basil, defeats ex-Champion Valkyrie.
2/4/3286 - In a surprising turn of events, the boxer 'Betelgeuse' revealed themselves to actually be racer and self proclaimed "Hero of Justice", Brutal Star, who had infiltrated the league in order to help Galadrian find his daughter. She defeats Keola after he tells Belle she's "pretty" on live TV. Brutal then joins the group doing the investigating, along with Meat-Head and Vilidius, whom she had been working with prior to revealing herself. Later that night, Belle logged in to the betting terminal to find out who the Basils bet on the previous season, while Brutal and a strange cloaked individual caused a distraction. Galadrian has said he will not be pressing any charges.
2/13/3286 - Boudicca defeats Hervius. At some point she convinces him to help with her plans.
2/23/3286 - Gary Noose, Vilidius Cal, and 'god' rescue Amber Bushnell. On the same day, Boudicca beats Araki.
2/26/3286 - Having lost their previous leverage, Boudicca then kidnapped Keola's ward, Oliana.
3/06/3286 - Boudicca defeats Zizania and moves on to the final round.
3/07/3286 - [Instead of an entry, the only thing here is a link to a video of Hervius drinking ketch-up straight from a bottle for about 3 minutes straight. At the end, whoever is filming runs away giggling.]
3/10/3286 - As Boudicca faces off against Vilidius Cal, Brutal Star springs her gambit. After Gary Noose had located Oliana, Keola and a strange dog-like machine break into the rental storage locker they were being kept in and rescue them. Once she has lost her leverage, Vil begins reveal Boudicca's true identity as he turns the tide. After fully outing her he finishes her off (in what Galadrian is calling a EKO/DQ), before she is dragged off by guards.
3/17/3286 - Boudicca escapes police custody with the help of a cloaked individual.
3/20/3286 - The police receive an anonymous tip as to Joseppi's involvement. The police investigate Joseppi and find the burner phone he was about to dispose of.
3/21/3286 - Joseppi is deemed guilty and receives a life sentence.
