//A well designed nexus website would be set up under domains martinezroyjackson.nex, votemartinez.nex, voteroy.nex, etc. It was simplistic, and utilized a pleasing color palette with soft, desaturated reds, yellows, and light greys being dominant. It contains tabs that lead to various pages detailing parts of Martínez's campaign// //WHO AM I?// As I understand many of those in the Fringe may be unfamiliar with my history and my position in society, I will take this opportunity to introduce myself. y name is Martínez Roy Jackson, and I am running for the position of Senator in the Haven Federation. In the United Systems, and CivSpace as a whole, I have made a name for myself as a proponent of the rights of synthetics and cybernetically augmented sapients, I myself being a Synthnoid-model in the image of a human. I was born from machines, and the feel of my gyros and the pumping of my coolant is all I've ever known. When I was born, my kind was seen as little more than a high-end product, much like a datapad or a laptop. Something to be discarded when it had outlived the point of its usefulness. Unlike many of my brothers and sisters, who simply accepted their state as a second-class citizen as just being their lot in this cruel life they'd been given, I refused to sit back and let myself or anyone else be subject to this, not as long as I had energy in my core. I spent the next twenty years of my life advocating, fighting, clawing for the rights of my kind. I gained many enemies in that time, people who didn't want a future where the synthetic and the organic could be seen as sapient equals. People who were too close minded, people who would lose lots of money if they couldn't freely abuse us like tools; but for as many enemies I made, I made friends a hundredfold in numbers. Every step I made, and every one that I faltered in, I had people I could rely upon to keep me going, without fail. Without these friends and loved ones, I am sure I would not be where I am today, if alive at all. It was at this time I became introduced to the world of politics, a small outsider trying to make himself heard by ever distant Mayors and Senators, but I refused to give in to their apathy and greed. My greatest success through all this was the lobbying that led to the local passage of the Sapient Rights Act of 3257. I was young, I was arrogant, I felt like I could conquer the world if I put my will to it at this time. I soon was humbled, as I found that the governing bodies beyond my majority-synth homeworld were much less responsive to my desires and demands. Ever more apathetic, ever more bigoted, and with ever more avarice for the businessmen they'd made backroom deals with. This battle was the hardest I've ever fought, but I knew I would not be deterred from my victory, through some of my darkest hours, including a period in which I faced imprisonment in the attempt to silence me, I stood up each time, ever more prepared to fight with anyone who would keep me from my goal. After a ten year fight, the High Senate of the United Systems passed the Sapient Rights Acts of 3267 and 3268. Since then, I've continued my efforts throughout CivSpace, leading to the enactment and passage of similar laws in the Stargazer Theocracy and even the Ministry of Knowledge. Recently, I have fought against the passage of synth-oppressive legislation within the Hylotl Empire, but my eyes have been drawn to the Fringe, and its political sphere. It was here that I saw I could make the most difference, not only for my own kind, but for all sapient beings in this galaxy. If I can succeed here, I know I will be able to bring equality to any place that suffers inequality's cold, steely grip. //MY PLATFORM// My political platform revolves around the protection of endangered sections of the population, emboldening the efforts to rebuild and bring industry back to the fallen District of Corrav, and negotiations with the occupying Shifters that will bring full autonomy and sovereignty back to the Federation. I additionally will see to it that the law codes shall be revamped and brought fully to the modern, post-immigration era that Haven finds itself in. The culture of Haven is also something that I have found myself wholly in-love with, and I will be fighting for you, the people, to assure that Haven's unique cultural palette is preserved, and allowing cultural events such as the Dance of the Zephyrs to continue representing the best that the Federation has to offer. //Each page features a footer// WITH MARTÍNEZ ROY, LIFE IS A JOY //As one might imagine, no direct means of commenting on the website was available, though means of contacting the Jackson campaign would be available on its own page//
