Name: Chucklefish Description: Chucklefish are large, basket-ball sized orange puffer-like fish with large eyes and mouths, and short spines among their many sharp spines. Chucklefish are known notoriously for being one of the most annoying fish to ever grace the galaxy; their annoying large eyes and mocking gaze, short stubby fins that are extremely slow, and toxic spines that make it impossible to even eat or enjoy, making it one of the most useless fish ever. To top it all off, Chucklefish are named for their wide, shit-eating grins and their constant tendency to 'chuckle', often inciting predators to eat them, only to die from the toxic poisons they secrete everywhere they go. Chucklefish are not useful members of the ecosystem, nor are they aesthetically pleasing nor tasty. The only thing Chucklefish exists to do is to annoy you, and mindlessly bump into you to secrete its toxicity into you with it spines. Their mouths do not have teeth, making them bottom feeders that only feed on the bottom of the ocean for whatever trash or waste product they can scrounge up. Not only are they annoying for this, but Chucklefish have a strange trait that gives them psionic mastery, allowing them to broadcast this godawful noise to the denizens of the galaxy, if not the universe as a whole. No one knows why they have this adaption, but surely it is just to make the lives of everyone around them slightly worse. Chucklefish hunting game is big. There is also a variant of Chucklefish that are spineless and smooth, even more useless. Behavior: Chucklefish most often travel alone, but have been found in schools of 3-6 Chucklefish; they roam at the bottom of their bodies of water to bottom feed off of the products of other valuable species of the ecosystem, rather than attempt to obtain their own food. Tamability: Chucklefish do not listen to anybody but themselves, and therefor, they cannot be tamed because of this. Where is it found?: Waters, primarily those filled with toxic materials and trash; places where many other valuable members of the community produce food and die, which the Chucklefish feed off of. Rarity: Chucklefish are an extremely rare and ancient species. Diet/Method of gaining nutrients and energy: Chucklefish drift to the bottom of their bodies of water, using their toothless mouths to bottom feed off of whatever trash or organic material they can suck up. They only feed off of the waste of the actual useful members of the ocean community. Products?: Absolutely nothing that could ever be of use. Reproduction: Chucklefish reproduce by kissing each other as they chuckle, when causes one to exchange semen with the other via regurgitation. This is not a pleasant sight, as the sound of two profusely chuckling fishes is enough to drive even the most sane of men to madness. Size: Basketball sized Weight: 30 pounds Lifespan: 10 years Abilities: Annoyingness either drives other species away or attracts them to try and eat them. Constantly secretes a minor amount of toxic venom that drives away most predators. Tachyonic comms allow them to transmit annoying chuckles over the galaxy. Flaws: They have no defense other than their venom; if one is immune to it, they are defenseless. They are very slow, as their small flippers are fairly useless, just like the fish themselves.
