Covering the slits are very thin membranes of specially made paper. At its bottom is a 1 inch long propellant. Their are also flat fins near the base. Abilities: Once fired leaves a large trails of extremely hot burning materials in a radius of 5 ft with the projectile being the center point. Ignites most items touched by the burning powders. Limitations: Cannot be fired out of long barrels as it would burn and weld the insides of the barrel, without a large barrel the projectiles accuracy is not the best. After firing it will not stay very straight and might slightly veer off into one direction before going straight as it takes a short second to stabilize. Is slow to accelerate which results in the spread of the burning materials being very little for the first 4ft or so limiting its radius to 1/2ft-2ft and then 5ft after it stabilizes. The burning powder is not as strong at the edges of its radius so your distance from the projectile can limit or increase damage. The projectile on average runs out of powder to burn after 25ft. Has the general limitations of a rocket. Cannot penetrate anything stronger than paper due to speed, and shape. How does it work: The propellant is a simple solid rocket ((Think similar to fireworks doesn't use liquid uses a solid fuel)) built into this propellant are 4 holes. The largest is the center hole where the majority of the thrust comes from. The other three are evenly divided on its edges and tilted so that as it burns it will propel itself into a spin which stabilizes it tremendously. After firing fours fins held flat wrapped slightly around the projectiles base spring upwards. They have a simple mechanism letting them do this, and they only serve to further stabilize the projectile so it goes straight. The projectile is filled with thermite mixed with small amounts of magnesium powder and a few inhibitors. The inhibitors slow the rate at which burns allowing it to travel a longer distance before completely burning. It also slightly increases the activation energy required making the mixture more stable, and easier to safely store. The magnesium is a oxidizer allowing it to burn in very low oxygen environments, and simply burn much hotter. When the projectile spins the thin paper covering the slits is torn open dispersing the powdered mix everywhere trailing behind the projectile. To clarify, the paper is very thin and very weak the force from the projectiles spin is enough to tear it off. After being dispersed through the heat or direct contact of the rocket will ignite. This causes a chain reaction where particles near ignited particles will also ignite spreading throughout the spray of powder ensuring that all of its contents ignite.
