    Name: Aurulite

Description: Aurulite is a very rare lilac metal with a semi-translucent, crystalline appearance. It is notable for its very low weight in comparison to its mass, caused by its innate anti-gravitational properties, and its incredibly value as a commodity. It does not tarnish and is slightly warm to the touch.

    Abilities:
Anti-Gravity: Aurulite has the unique property of being nearly unaffected by gravity; always acting as if it were under the effects of .05g. This allows it to effectively make things it is attached to weigh less than they actually are and while inadvisable due to its rarity, alloys created with Aurulite as a component are lighter by a noticeable degree.

    Conditional Abilities:
Electrical Inversion: When exposed to a live electrical current, the anti-gravity property of Aurulite is inverted, instead making it act as if it were under the effect of 2g.

Mundane Nature: Aurulite is not anomalous in any way, leading it to operate normally under the effects of Order.

Mind Over Matter: Aetherium created with Aurulite has the unique property of requiring no Flux to lift, manipulate, or mold with telekinesis, regardless of its total weight.

    Limitations:
Soft: Aurulite is incredibly soft and malleable, making it a poor material for armor or weaponry.

Quantity: Aurulite cannot meaningfully affect other things with its anti-gravity properties unless the total mass of Aurulite is equal to a third of the mass of the thing it is connected to.

    Conditional Limitations:
Rarity: Aurulite is very rare compared to other metals, only forming on certain planets under set conditions. Its acquisition is further hampered by the fact it is located deep within the mantle, leading to finding it more up to luck or discovering a deposit forced closer to the surface by ancient geological activity.

    Cost:
Because of its rarity- and by extension, its value as a commodity- even a single ounce of Aurulite will cost a buyer 12,000▣ at market price; and rarely is it sold at such by those who have it.

Conductive: Another reason Aurulite makes a poor armor material is its high electrical conductivity, which would cause any wearers to suffer severe injury from even a low-level shock weapon.

    How does it work:
Aurulite has the unique property of being naturally repellent to gravitons, giving it extremely low weight and anti-gravitational properties. This effect doesn't seem to be anomalous in the typical sense, and has been compared to Ferozium's ability to resist changes in temperature.

    Flavor text:
Aurulite's discovery several decades before the First Galactic War, and the uses it could have, would have been monumental for industrial purposes throughout space... but by that time, anti-gravity drives had long been invented which entirely invalidated its widespread use in that field.

Instead in the modern day Aurulite is widely considered a valuable commodity due to its rarity and splendor, rather than any real practical use; frequently being combined with various gems and other metals to create fantastical jewelry. A single ounce of Aurulite can net a seller 12,000▣ on average; a single ingot of Aurulite can easily net a seller 5,268,000▣ on average, frequently leading to discovered deposits being fought over to secure it before any competitors.

Aurulite has been given a similar place in several precursor societies. It is not uncommon to find small amounts of it in Ancient ruins, and the Grey were especially fond of it thanks to its discovery early into their history.

Attainability: Open (Aurulite is a very rare material, only found deep within the mantle of some warm, oceanic planets found inside of nebulae. This makes it incredibly hard to access or find without heavy infrastructure, and typically any located deposits of it were forced to the surface long ago.)
