[Announcement] : New 'Marshal License' Tested On Murder Case

The [Magistrate] of [Calypso] announced today that the investigation of the Brothel Killing amid union tensions is to be supplemented by 'public-private' detectives.

"The sssyssstem isss intended to help deal with the thin-ssspreading of the Magissstrate in sssectorsss with too few of usss and too many incidentsss," said [Magistrate Magnelleous], who will be managing the test. "If thisss firssst cassse ssshowsss promissse, it may enter the greater Empire."

Critics of the program, upon examining the publicly released documentation, complain that the 'good-standing point system' and the mandated requirement for a license to be a private investigator in places where it is active will damage the PI industry.

"Thisss isss not a bad thing. They will ssstill be allowed to take on private casssesss, they only mussst balance them with civil ssservice. They will be paid for their ssservice to the Empire, give back to the communitiesss they operate in, and ssstill have time to take on more profitable private work."

[Announcement] : Peace In Knife's Edge

Following weeks of uncertainty, dozens of arrested individuals find their sentences set to restoring the city destroyed weeks ago in a violent revolt.

[Legate Cyclox], interim-governor, commented, "...while I personally would have pushed for a harsher punishment, I trust our legal system and our institutions entirely..."

Colm Dalton, the apparent leader of the revolt, was unavailable for comment. He has also entered reconstructive service.

The official sentencing came after a weeks-long investigation, finding the previous administration guilty of egregious misconduct and participation in the slave trade. While the future of Knife's Edge remains uncertain, the administration's steps towards reconciliation with the people of the city has only served to make the Empire more whole.
