Description: The Shell has a sleek white, covering the whole arm up to parts of the shoulder, connecting itself to the already existing ANGEL Arm replacement weighing 25.5 Kg each, giving it a combined weight of 51 kg. It fully encloses the ANGEL Replacement arm in its passive form, however partly opens up while in combat form, showing the insides of the shell. History of Aug/Tech: The problem of the already existing ANGEL Limb Replacement protocol were several weakpoints located on the arms, specificly their strength and combat capabilities. The best possible way to improve the already great design was to increase the power on the plasma blades, giving it a bigger punch at the cost of a much higher energy consumption. However the existing design was unable to carry the larger components needed to increase the strength of said blade while making sure the wearer isnt burning his own darn arms off. How does it work?: Simply increase the strength of the plasma blade projector while making sure the arm stays heat isolated and has a thick protective armor blade to prevent damage from the components inside. The plasma resistant material is also useful to shield the wearer from small to medium strong plasma weaponry. Additional strength is added by several industrial hydraulics and connecting itself to the already existing systems. Due to the increased strength of the plasma blades the shell has provided its own cooling and fueling system, requiring the user to refill both of these systems Intended use: The Shell has a clear role in combat as a strong close combat plasma blade, increasing defensive and offensive capabilities. Outside of combat the Shell provides enough strength to push or bend items which are normaly to durable for regular biotic arms. *Side note. The blades are also useable to melt certain metals however it is not recommended due to the possible dangers that come out of it. Strengths: - Clear close range combat advantage due to the strengthend plasma blades. - Plasma Shielding. - Increased Strenght. - Increased Durability. - Medium armor plating. - The hand is still active. - Momentum gained by weight can be used as combat advantage. Weaknesses: - Removal of anti-personal claws. - 5 minute activation and itioation - 5 minute deactivation and removal time - Much heavier - Plasma Blade acitvity time: 1 hour and 30 minutes due to cooling and fueling - Strength does not mean a user can lift heavier items, due to the lack of a back support. - Clearly visible - High resupply costs - High building costs - Hard to transport - No civil use, making it highly unlikely that the user will wear them outside of its intended situational uses. - EMP's are able to damage the automatic cooling system, causing an explosive reaction if the use of the plasma blade is continued after the EMP has damaged the systems. - Not EMP shielded. - No automatic emergency deactivation sequence, forcing the user to keep a close eye on the amount of cooling liquid avaible. - Not very "Stealthy" - Extra weight will slow down and hinder unexperienced users greatly. How do you believe this will assist in benefiting roleplay?: People wont be able to wear it constantly, due its restrictions outside of industrial and military use and due to its size nobody is able to carry it secretly around making it not a stealth option. I personally like good close combat RP, not really a fan of 2 parties sitting behind cover thinking of a way to eliminate the other with either illogical gun choices or world objects. Give close combat some love :3 Attainability: Blue Prints are rare and due to the high ressource cost bound to this augmentation it has never seen the light of mass production. Blackmarket might have spare parts of it but one can call himself lucky if he has the ressources to fully assemble it.
